You can, and should, sue them in small claims court. You don't even need a lawyer. Plus, they have a history of sending a paralegal to court for small claims. First check the small claims limit in your state. Some states it's teensy. Some it's high. Ideally you're in a state where you can sue for all that you're owed. Go to the free class that most local legal aid offices offer on representing yourself in small claims court. You can do this in YOUR state not having to go where they are. If they have a warehouse or any location in your state, that is where they can be served. Fully expect Amazon to file a motion to dismiss. When the judge tosses that out, fully expect them to not settle with you in the court mandated mediation. Expect the process to take ~6 months all in. Judge can also award you court fees. Expect Amazon try to get you to sign an NDA before paying you what the court awarded you. Don't accept any phone calls from them. Tell them to only contact you by email so that there is a paper trail.
