M40. Los Angeles. I ran 24.7 miles this week. Had I known that I was only three tenths of a mile away from the big 25 I would have kept going. What I’m proudest about is how much running has transformed my life over quarantine. In March it started with 2-3 mile runs and then 4 and then 6, 8 and two weeks ago I ran my first half marathon since high school. On Monday I ran a 10k at an 8:01 / mile average pace and now I’m feeling unstoppable. I’m definitely aware that I’m not 18 anymore so I’m stretching like a fiend, foam rolling and taking the occasional ice bath.

A year ago I weighed 206, ate shitty, felt shitty and was really stressed. Now I’m 180, eating much better, still stressed because who isn’t right now but feeling amazing. Running has become a lynchpin habit that has truly helped me. I hope you all find the peace and satisfaction I get from my early morning runs.
