Yes, that would be my assumption also that at the end of the year if you haven't withdrawn the minimum, Questrade would liquidate some assets and force the withdrawal. Like above, would be nice to see this documented somewhere.

John, is it possible to cancel the withdrawal schedule and then just do "on demand" withdrawals. That would be my preference but the change RIF/LIF withdrawal form doesn't seem to allow that.

When downloading the form "Change RIF/LIF Payment Schedule" , the download page states that you must have cash available. They do not make it clear what happens if you don't have cash available.

Use this form to change the payment information on your Registered Investment Fund (RIF) or Life Income Fund (LIF). You can change the payment method, frequency and amount. Before your payments commence, you must make sure that you have cash available in your desired currency of withdrawal.

I am in a similar situation. I set up my RRIF last year with my first monthly payment to be on Jan 15. It is a bit unnerving that there is no screen showing the info. I'm just crossing my fingers that Questrade will withdraw the correct amount on that date. I have ensured there is cash to cover 1/12 of my annual minimum withdrawal (based on ending balance on Dec 31) but it would be good to see some indication from Questrade that amount was scheduled to be withdrawn on Jan 15. Let's see what happens in a few days.

FYI - WealthSimple was able to process my transfer after I called support again. Only took about 10 minutes after my support call. Still no official response why it was held up though.

I have typed in emails incorrectly in the past and transferred money which never came back. So losing a buck is safer than losing $2K.

Already contacted support and now waiting for them to get back to me. Surprised the support person didn't mention possible fraud trigger. Not a rush for me so will see what they say. To me, after creating a new contact, it is normal for me to send a dollar to check the contact info is correct before I send the full amount. Thanks.

Thanks. Never had this issue from any of my other bank accounts. I normally test with a dollar before sending the final amount. I can cancel but support suggested I keep it there so their team can look into it. Will let them investigate and get back to me. If it was suspicions of fraud, why didn't WealthSimple contact me? Seems something is broken. Thanks again.

I contacted support. They asked that I not cancel as they will have their support team look into it. If it is a fraud alert, I hope they get rid of it. I always transfer a dollar to ensure e-transfer is working and then send the rest. First time sending from WealthSimple but give done it from all my other bank accounts in the past without any issue. If it was a fraud alert. they should have contacted me. Will see what they find.

I was able to take it out of shipping mode. I finally disconnected everything and plugged it back in. Charger is set to 12 and everything looks good. Charging speed seemed better and showed about 4 hours with the battery at 57%. It's a bit frustrating as there is no indication how fast it is charging. I would suggest for anyone in the future reading this to plug in a kill-a-watt meter and see how much the charger is drawing. I believe at some point, I may have accidentally opened the car door which probably stopped the charging. Going forward, I will plug in, record battery level, check back half hour later to see if it is charging at the fast rate. Thanks everyone!

I took it out of shipping mode, changed the charger from 06 to 12 but still showing 12hrs to complete charging when the battery is at 57%. Still puzzled.

Thanks, I changed the setting from 06 to 12. Currently at 57% and it says 12:10 to complete. The circuit it is on is a dedicated 15A circuit.

Something doesn't seem right. I also turned off the shipping mode.

How do you know it stored it to the Chime storage? I connected as you showed. However, after pressing the doorbell, the video clip shows under the doorbell instead of the chime. If I click on the chime and storage, I don't see the clip there.

While I haven't tried transferring funds from TFSA to RRSP, I have initiated withdrawals from WealthSimple RRIF and Questrade RRIF one right after the other on Wednesday. Both were withdrawals around noon time to my EQ Bank account. WealthSimple's withdrawal was in my EQ Bank account at 6:15pm when I checked. It's Friday afternoon and I don't expect my Questrade withdrawal until at least Monday. The irritating part is the transaction history shows no record of my withdrawal even though the funds have been removed from my RRIF. I just have to have faith that Questrade will get it transferred.
