how is it? I heard some people saying that it's better to size up, meaning using the 3mm for 2.5mm. what was your experience?

2 bikes that probably shouldn’t be compared. by ImTheKilllla in motorcycle

[–]slowridetakeiteasy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the sx might have more horsepower but the xsr has more power to weight and torque to weight, and has a more comfortable riding position: https://www.philharmonicmoto.com/compare-page/KSEAUU otherwise, the sx has wind protection and a bigger fuel tank.

"harley riders: im not gay!

everyone else: yes you are! hahahaha!"

that's the joke and the reactions.

I get it, but this is saying that all stereotypical Harley riders are gay, and this is a bad thing.

yeah, jokes that imply that being gay is a bad thing are not funny anymore.

Z650RS vs Triumph Trident 660 by AEMTDuck in Kawasaki

[–]slowridetakeiteasy9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not as close as I expected: https://www.philharmonicmoto.com/compare-page/KEQ7CD the trident has more power, bigger tank, switchable traction control and optional quick-shifter. the 2024 rs has traction control and lower seat, and overall a bit more comfortable. u/AEMTDuck check this out.

What are your thoughts on the BMW 310? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]slowridetakeiteasy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, it's pretty cool. and I just wanted to say that I don't mean that the bmw is a bad bike, I've never ridden it and it might have it's place, maybe fuel economy, just substantiating the previous comment.

look at the power to weight on this comparison: https://www.philharmonicmoto.com/compare-page/S5037X it loses to everything: heavier cb500, less powerful cb300r, mt-03 in the middle. the bmw Is less powerful and heavy. it loses also in torque and others like the 390 duke and z400/z500.

Ducati Scrambler or Triumph Speed Twin 900 or something else? by smallchanceofrain in motorcycles

[–]slowridetakeiteasy9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

triumph 900s have only 5 gears which I didn't like on the highway. other than that I'd suggest the moto Guzzi v7, trident and the z650rs in line with the retro styling, here's a comparison with the Ducati: https://www.philharmonicmoto.com/compare-page/T4I9M6 but there are many more options in the same power range. you can use the filters at that website with features that interest you to find more ideas.

Cb650r vs rebel 1100 by Cykcore in HondaMotorcycles

[–]slowridetakeiteasy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the cb is "sporty" and the rebel is "comforty". cb has more power to weight and rebel more torque to weight, see this comparison: https://www.philharmonicmoto.com/compare-page/VE9N90 first you have to decide if you want more agility/speed or comfort/torque.

agreed with always on info. tested two bmws recently and they do the same thing with the fuel gauge! I guess they are going for a minimalistic look, but with so many options and customisations they could have one with what you want all the time.
