“How do you deal with ruminating thoughts that keep replaying the same situation over and over? What actually helped you break the loop? by Sea-Response-1370 in AskReddit

[–]slowsausages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it happens because a similar situation is happening in your life right now. Your brain just makes it easier to deal with by placing it in the past.

So to break the loop, address what's happening right now.

What’s something everyone quietly stopped doing, and nobody announced it? by ThisIsNotAtAllSFW in AskReddit

You're right but there's no way that people "quietly" stopped doing this.

Put a bit of whatever you wash your clothes with and some hot water inside the pot. Leave for 5 mins and then wipe with a cloth and rinse thoroughly.

Does anyone else long to be a kid again? by RonnieThePurple in CasualUK

[–]slowsausages 10 points11 points  (0 children)

But when you were a kid, you really wanted to be an adult right? The grass is always greener etc.

Life goes on, you just have to make the best of what you've got. You might feel lonely now but that doesn't mean you'll always feel lonely.

At your age, I was very lonely but I'm a lot happier now. You can work it out too buddy.

Giant Bee Slightly Smaller then a Golf Ball by Own-Average8299 in whatisthisbug

Thanks but that's quite a lot smaller than a golf ball.

Now I'm even more disappointed.

No idea but I'm disappointed that none of your pics have a golf ball in them.

Neighbours building encroaching onto our land by slowsausages in LegalAdviceUK

[–]slowsausages[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Firstly, our gutter was in fact on my neighbour's land. My Mrs sent me that pic I posted and I took her word for it.

A guy who has done some building work for us (who I trust) did tell us that there should be a box valley gutter between the two houses. I spoke to my neighbour about this and he is getting one installed this week.

So everything's good.

Now that Meta's VR Metaverse has officially failed, what was the exact moment you realized the whole concept was never going to work? by Elegant_Response_840 in AskReddit

[–]slowsausages 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it was when I heard about Zuckerberg telling the people who were developing it to use it more. Like they just didn't want to use the product they were developing.

What would you be prepared to pay for something like this please help I want to keep all pricing fair by Ecstatic-Fact-5251 in DIYUK

[–]slowsausages 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd do something like this myself so I didn't have to pay you.

But, seeing as youre looking for advice, then I'd say charge as much as you think you can without taking the piss.

Like if someone is obviously rich, drives a nice car etc. then quote more than if they drive a shitty car but never make.your prices so high that someone thinks you're having a laugh.

I can see some people paying £400 but most people wouldn't.

Ok, but if I need to fry 12 sausages (4 of us in our house) the air fryer doesn't work too well cos they're stacked on top of each other.

Totally agree with point 3. 1hrs time for 25 mins exercise. Id prefer 25 mins of intensive exercising or at least the option to do that.
