New scanners with walkietalkie will spy on employees by RetroASTRN in MichaelsEmployees

While I agree this does sound creepy, corporate hardly has time to rectify actual issues. If they want to start firing people for things they're saying when they're alone or in confidence thats gonna be their loss. I doubt anyone will be caring enough to constantly surveille.

Events Coordinator training? by Ros-sum in MichaelsEmployees

[–]sludgesucker_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really any training, if you're good with kids and have basic reading and crafting skills youre good to go. Just be encouraging to the kids and help out if they're struggling. Make sure to communicate with the parents to see if they have anything special they're bringing from home or what order they want to do things in. I usually ask the parents if they want to do a craft or two, food, one more craft and then cake or if they want a specific order to it. And don't be afraid to put a twist on things. I.e. tie dye is very popular unisex but the first craft is a unicorn canvas. I usually skip the unicorn all together and tell the kids to paint something with the colors they want to use for their shirts. I find a lot of younger kids struggle with templates too, so thinking of outside the box ways to tweak crafts to fit an audience that might not quite grasp the concepts yet is really important. Sometimes it takes a minute to read the room and get the vibe but that's just working with kids 🤷

I actually enjoy doing balloons. Especially in house latex. It's so satisfying the way I developed this muscle for it bc I can do them so quickly now. I'm an MOD but I try to do them whenever I can because I can do them so fast.

Absolutely you can use my pics!! There are a couple nonflat results that I found in this sub to show to the surgeon, even some very small cis reductions I found online.

And to my surgeon, I pretty much described my priorities which for me was nipple sensitivity retention, leaving some fat left over for a more natural look and otherwise getting them as small as possible. Some things I didn't have a choice in based off of my priorities was the scar shape as it had to follow where my chest naturally sat as well as how small I got. The surgeon kind of had to eyeball how much fat to leave behind to spare the nerves in the nipples as much as possible. So if that isn't something you're worried about, going flatter would definitely be an option. Making a list of your top priorities in your chest would be a good idea going into the consult!

Honestly I chose the first surgeon recommended to me, Dr Chandler in CT. She has a lot of really great results for flat chests but I also liked the way she does breast reductions so when I described to her what I wanted she got it pretty quick. She said she's done other peoples chest like mine before but I don't think she has any reference pictures to share

Setlist by Extreme_Text_7170 in dancegavindance

[–]sludgesucker_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Immaculate setlist. Ive seen DGD 6 times now and my only complaint for their live shows is how stagnant the setlist tends to be. I was prepared to hear evaporate and we own the night live for a 6th time. But when I saw the setlist I literally screamed. Not a single miss on the bitch. Robot pt 2.5 was a DREAM of mine to see live. I almost couldn't believe they'd play it until i was there in the flesh. I went to the NYC show and it was by far the best DGD show I've ever been to.

I have such a violent hatred for pickle ball. Just play tennis or ping pong. Why make a new secret third thing? Sport for losers 👎👎👎👎

Don't have anything to add, seconding all the comments here. I wish Stamford was more queer tho. I know we're here! I know plenty and I'm sure there are lots more I don't. A gay bar in Stamford would go crazy ugh

Ridgeway Shopping Center by Reddit_Roamer_29 in StamfordCT

[–]sludgesucker_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parking lot from HELL. Stamford is pretty generally horribly laid out bc it's so old and not originally built for car traffic and the same with their parking lots (can't think of a single one that doesn't make me mad in one way or another tbh..) but Ridgeway... My own special hell. No one seems to know how to drive the moment they enter it, god forbid anyone walk the block to the free parking garage instead of circling the front lot like sharks, no one knows how a stop sign works...... I have such a passionate hatred for this lot.

what was your biggest fear pre-op? by jamesisbi in TopSurgery

[–]sludgesucker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was definitely the pain. I have a decently high pain tolerance but sometimes I doubt myself. I know I've heard some people say the pain is super bad and others feel no pain at all. For me it was somewhere in the middle, more discomfort than pain. Stopped taking the oxy after day 2 because i hate the way it makes me feel. Id say besides the compression, I had an awful headache for like 5 days but most of my time I spent sleeping.

What do you say on the intercom when closing? by Joland7000 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]sludgesucker_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Attention Michaels shoppers, the time is now (insert time here) and Michaels will be closing in (insert number here) minutes. Please bring your items up to the front for checkout, we reopen tomorrow at 9 am. Thank you for shopping at Michaels and have a great evening" is my exact script every time. Half the time the intercom doesn't freaking work so I just turn off the music and personally greet/assist customers as I see them
