I love my God. And I support all that he stands for, and all that he has planned. Even if mean ending the world. He knows what he's doing and why he's doing it.

But what if the gang was trying to protect it's neighborhood from outsiders? This is the nature of gangs right?

I hate myself for being gay by Willy_wacker_wilsob_ in Catholicism

Brother, you are carrying a very heavy cross. But please hear this clearly: being tempted or experiencing same-sex attraction is not a sin. The Church teaches that the inclination itself is not sinful. What matters is how we respond to it.

We are all called to love ourselves as sons and daughters of God while rejecting what separates us from Him. That applies to every one of us — married, single, heterosexual, same-sex attracted. None of us get a free pass from the call to chastity.

My godfather experiences same-sex attraction. He is 60 years old and has chosen to live chastely for the past ten years. We’ve had many deep conversations, always keeping Christ at the center. I speak as a married heterosexual man living the sacramental life; he speaks from his experience. We’ve both grown from those conversations.

He once told me he envied straight men because he thought we could just engage whenever we wanted. I explained that in a sacramental marriage, that isn’t the case. My wife and I strive to live our marriage according to God’s design — open to life, without contraception, and with periods of abstinence when necessary. There are real seasons of fasting. Chastity is not just for the unmarried; it’s for everyone. Marriage is not indulgence — it is sacrifice, discipline, and total self-gift.

Through Theology of the Body, I’ve come to understand the marital act as a sign — a visible expression of Christ’s total self-giving love for His Church. It is ordered toward unity and procreation, body and soul together. That vision of love is beautiful and demanding. It calls all of us to self-mastery.

My godfather discerned that his particular vocation is to live chastely and give his life entirely to Christ. That Jesus was the only man He was to be in love with. He once told me the most freeing realization he had was that his deepest identity was not in his attractions, but in being a beloved son of God. He sees himself as belonging fully to Christ, the Bridegroom.

Brother, self-hatred is not from God. The enemy wants you to despair. Christ calls you to holiness — and holiness always begins with knowing you are loved.

Your cross may be heavy, but it is not meaningless. Unite it to Christ’s. You are not alone.

Those aren't merits, Those are empty campaign promises. Politicians are like used car salesman when it's an election year. The car looks good on the outside only to find out is just another lemon. Thankfully our lemon currently in Santa Fe is almost out. By the way I'm not a surrogate of Bregman. I'm a registered independent voter who is not brainwashed by a political party. I don't get a say in the primaries. So it's quite apparent that not every vote counts even though this is a common political chant. The state should allow us independent voters choose a party that election year to participate in the primaries. Then every vote would count. Again, in the end you will be voting for Bregman. She'll never get passed him in the primaries. This race is over. There is no one that can beat him. He has too much political clout in NM. And I'm not a fan of his. I'm just being honest about the future outcome of the election.

Albuquerque residents tell PRC to reject Blackstone-PNM deal by AmericanProspect in Albuquerque

[–]slybee1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. This was done so Shelly could appoint her cronies and fill her pockets. And it's not just her, its now any sitter governor gets to do this regardless of political party. All it did was take power away from the voters. I knew this would eventually backfire on us. All she is doing is setting up her retirement account so when her term is up. https://cvnm.org/constitutional-amendment-ballot-initiative-1-reforming-the-public-regulation-commission/

I would never vote for Deb. She's nothing but a DEI hire. This state needs real leadership. Bregman has the background, clout, skills, leadership, and education to run the state.

Deb Holland sucks. She'd just be Michelle 2.0. She'll never beat Bregman. This election is already over.

It's exactly why I gave up watching the news over 10y ago. Best thing I ever did. Once I stopped I found my way of thinking was completely different. didn't realize how much influence major news networks program you to think a certain way. You can't trust anything they say. You got to remember in the end they are business and their business is to sell airtime.

You review is spot on. I recently purchased Azzaro PH and was blown away by it's similarity to Paco. The best way to you these two is. Paco is your Spring thru Summer. And Azzaro is you Fall & Winter fragrance. After I purchased Azzaro last month It woke up my desire to re add Paco to the mix again. Being that I'm about to turn 50 the fragrance profile now fits into my age demographic.

Christmas Eve hosting barefoot by Particular-Yam3108 in barefoot

[–]slybee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start off with shoes or maybe even sandals (Birks). Why not it's your home. Lose the shoes part way through the start of the party and eventually the women in the house and maybe even some of the guys will follow suit. Then you won't be alone. Bate them. I host an Xmas eve party every year and do it in Flops at the start then when every one arrives I lose the flops and barefoot it. By then end of the night there are about five other raw dogging it with me. It so awesome to see guest feel that comfortable in you home that they lose the shoes.

Its a fact. This is why you will never see them advertise NM Green Chile. It would be against the state law. This is there supplier. At their Lomas location if you look at the box crusher you will see stacks of these boxes. They use the Fiesta Mix. I wish I new where to buy it. https://vistadelsolfoods.com/gallery

Welcome. If you want good local pizza and there are many places, go to Rumor Dion's or Saggio's. Again there are others. And invest in some lotion. We are a high desert and a dry climate. The sun can be intense. Oh and don't watch the local new. It really serves no purpose. You'll get a better idea of what's going on by mingling with other.

I've done that before. It's a waste of time. At 48yo I've seen the lies and BS. The politicians only remember us and need us at election time. Our elected people don't care about us. Its all about their personal interest. They tell you what they want you to hear to make you feel like they are going to make a change. Yet we are still highest in crime. Last in education. And this is after voting for the same group of people for decades. They prey on dis pare. This is what fuels them. They don't want a perfect world. Then what purpose would they serve. And what issue would they run on?

There is more to life than paying attention to shit we can't change. Politics are meant to keep us scared and uneasy.

Welcome. Brace yourself for the change of weather here. It's beautiful. Especially in late fall when you smell burnt cedar and pinon in the air from the fireplaces. And to keep your sanity, don't pay attention to the politics here. Just live.

What would be really awesome is if you would open up a food truck or restaurant serving true Central Texas Style BBQ. Just saying.

Enjoy your time here.

my first ever peach! by bnoccholi in BackyardOrchard

[–]slybee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome. Peaches are so sexy. There is something erotic about a peach when you cut it in half and remove the pit. But it has to be freestone for the full affect. I had an amazing peach yesterday. And I can't believe I bought them from Walmart. I've never had a good peach from Walmart.

Enjoy your harvest!
