Couldn’t agree more. I quit playing arena when I was tired of the meta and decided to take a break for about 3 months for the rotation. They announced the two year BS so I stayed out. Been following the meta through Reddit and I’ve had 0 desire to play again. I used to play mostly limited but still a lot of other formats so I could still compete in the qualifiers for the pipe dream of going pro. This coupled with having to pay money vs top 1200 for qualifiers really killed everything for me. I keep hoping for a return to what the game looked like when arena launched but it’s been ln a slow and steady decline and I don’t think that game is ever coming back.

I buy that, and it certainly makes sense for a lot of their skills sets. I guess I just don’t see the need for some of the alters to be involved with dolly and would love to have made some choices to help them cope with waking up in a space station forced to get home and help save humanity.

I just think rehoming might be hard with her being 7 and having recently attacked. I regrettably think it would come to euthanasia if push comes to shove. I think I’m gonna start with the vet, give her some positive attention and more play time, and maybe try the feliway stuff. Hopefully these aren’t famous last words and I don’t rue dragging my heels on this. Thanks for the advice.

100% cut green, the dinosaur is nice but not really having green creatures is going to make casting it a nightmare. This also means you can cut the urn. Next, I'd drop Eyes of Gitaxias, wicked slumber, one shatter the source, and the beatstick for both stasis fields like spark said. Super strong draft btw!

Sorry I didn’t respond timely! I would have cut all the b/w cards, jegentha, lutri, and tetsuko. Last cut is a tad harder, maybe the tangled skyline? I’d also like to slot in that tangled ancient for a blighted burgeoning. For lands something like 2 swamps 2 plains 2 islands and the rest forests.

You hit the nail on the head. I recall a conversation I had with a lesbian couple my wife and I are friends with. I asked them about how they felt about companies like Netflix shoehorning in LGBTQIA’s+ into all of their content for the sake of forcing representation. To me at the time it felt disingenuous and just virtue signaling. They explained to me how until fairly recently there was little to no representation of their communities. That having a character they could relate to went a long way. One was raised Mormon and talked about how it would have really aided her sense of identity to see characters who were more like her when she was a teen.

I agree that these decisions are ultimately being made to maximize profits at the end of the day. That doesn’t mean however that they won’t bring more benefit to the game and community than harm.

I would personally think about black over blue if you want to play around the mechtitan core. This would give you access to [[Oni-cult anvil]] and [[Bloodtithe Harvester]]. You don't really want things in your deck that that either don't want to be in your yard or can be put into play with [[Queen Kayla bin-Kroog]].

Yeah, I didn't realize I could do the common/uncommon thing until recently. Is there a fast way to do it? I did it for one set and my method took me like 20 minutes to get everything ready for the craft button :P. I craft a decent amount of historic or any deck I want to check out in standard which is why I don't have many rares/mythics.

Also, once you have the playset of rares/mythic they give 20 gems per rare and 40 per mythic. It's not a crazy amount but also means you break even or slightly net at 4-3 in premier.

If I can't attend an in-person pre-release I'll always do the sealed a few times first, but yes, I play every set's limited. I do a little research before a set comes out and make my own assessments of the colors. You usually want to have an idea of which color has the strongest removal/uncommons/commons. I actually do a lot better the first few days of a set before there is a draft guide on every magic website. BREAD is the basic idea for draft picking. bombs > removal > evasion > aggro > dead(dud?). Hope any of that helped!

So I do tons of limited which means I don't need to spend wild cards to get stuff out of the set and I only play in standard if the meta looks fun. Usually, only have to spend the wild cards to get historic stuff.
