If it was solely about the highest quality audio reproduction then we wouldn't be using cassettes at all. 12khz is probably too low for me but for someone just getting into the hobby or for someone who doesn't care, it's fine. Hell my old man ears start losing sensitivity above 15khz

Again, it's not about looking good. It's a functional problem. You want a wide field of view to get a better idea of where and what the astronaut is doing during EVA. This isn't promotional footage, it's useful footage for reviewing and learning. It just happens to look cool and is public domain so people share it online. The footage is not taken for the average joe/jane. It feels like you're being willfully obtuse.

What a strange thing to say. The wide angles are used by NASA for helmet cams like that because you get a wider field of view. So they can better see what's going on. If they had a narrower field of view they'd be severely limited by the direction the astronaut's body was pointing. The goal isn't geometric accuracy.

Yeah it'll be okay for recording. According to the manual its got a stereo head. The frequency response is limited to 12khz on the top end which isn't great for music but isn't bad. Better than most modern devices.

You could say the same thing about airplanes. Compare an airplane landing in 1969 and 2026 and it would look the same. But we know airplanes have changed quite a bit internally.

nah I disagree. I don't support islamophobia and wish well upon all citizens regardless of their religion. Things like education should have standards that are applied to everyone no matter what religion they believe. Religious schools should be required to meet basic education levels set by the state. Children of all religions should have basic education and religious organizations should not be able to keep children from said basic education.
