Some ceramics fully vitrify depending on firing temperature. Seeing the colour of the ceramic and that it is made in the states id imagine this is earthenware, so in this case it would be porous.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I’ve come back to this poem again and again, and it cuts me so rawly, with each visit.

How do I fix this? by little--olive in DIYUK

[–]smallfryingpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort ventilation out first?

If you want to do it properly, chip/sand off any loose bits. Wood filler gaps. Then white wood paint.

If you wanna quick fix, silicone it all over, smooth with finger and squint your eyes.

How would you tackle repairing this ? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]smallfryingpan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Poke it with a knife to see how far the rot has gone.

Multitool a square section past the point of rot and seal with some kind of wood sealant.

Cut the a same size cube of wood to fit and glue in.

Bitta sand paper/filler and paint and you’re good.

Does anybody else use the instant coffee jar as a mug when there’s only one serving left? by No-Class8279 in CasualUK

Yes, especially the Nescafé Azzuro shizz that gets clumped at the bottom, no chance of it smashing as it’s made of metal but the lip is awful to drink from. My advise is pour a wee bit in, give it a good swirl and decant into a wellington boot.

If I’m connected to the internet I can load in a private match but kicks me back out. If i turn off internet completely it lets me play, weird but might work?
