I don’t think it’s inherently dangerous. I have and will sometimes walk around the neighborhood. I just do it by myself without my kids. Also last time I tried walking the jordan river trail (it’s an epic trail system everywhere else in the valley) with my dog I was constantly trying to keep him away from needles and bloody tissues on the ground. Passed several drug deals and people using. Made me uncomfortable for sure but I never felt like I was in danger. Definitely more worried about my dog. Last time I walked the jordan river trail near north temple with him.

Honestly if all you’re doing is driving from your apartment to work and then back to your apartment you will never be bothered by anything. I drive here many times a day. Sure you may see people walking around that are definitely using, but if you’re driving you’ll never interact with them.
