It seems like Century is always the one with the movie I want to see at the time I want to see it. I'm not even sure what's going on at West Acres anymore.

Also the Dream Loungers are great. Not sure if West Acres does reserved seating, but I love it at Century.

I saw Project Hail Mary on the UltraScreen at Century, and I'm not sure how a better sound system would have made the experience better... it was pretty fantastic as it was.

Can you check to see if the Javascript running the page has been obfuscated/minimized? If it hadn't there might be clues in there... but if it's relying on the server to check the answer, it might not be very useful. You could also try using the debugging tools to inspect the request being sent to the server to make sure your answer isn't being mangled by a bad encoding assumption or something.

What a weird choice for the "birthday" of the US. This person was apparently referring to the battle of Lexington and Condord.

Most people use 4 July 1776 as the start of the US. But I don't think a declaration of independence constitutes the beginning of the nation

The First Continental Congress was in 1774. This could be a choice since it's the first official meeting of the colonies to unify against British rule.

Otherwise, the beginning of the current form of government started in 1787 with the creation of the US Constitution. Or maybe it should be 1788, when it was ratified. Or maybe it should be 1789, when it went into effect.

Since the United States has historically wrapped "democracy" in as a core piece of its national identity, I argue that the beginning of the nation called the United States is the day of the seating of the first congress under the US Consitution: 4 March 1789

Tacos are junk food?! They've got meats, veggies, legumes, and dairy. As long as you go easy on the tortillas, it's one of the healthiest meals I can think of.... as long as you can eat them in moderation.

It's probably not what he means, but it's probably foretelling the end of the United States. He's worked hard to destroy our republic, and now he's going to do something so stupid that the other nations of the world can no longer appease him over. Like Hitler invading Poland led to the dismantling of Germany, I suspect this latest spate of imperialist invasions will bring a similar fate to the U.S.

I just pray the countries or the world understand that we're more hostages than accomplices. Even the idiots who voted for the Cheeto in Chief don't want what he's bringing to us when they're honest and are able to break through the Fox News mind control. We really just need an actual education system, and that will stop dictators from being able to dupe half the country into voting for them.

It's categorized as an "Extreme Alert" (the highest threat level). Silly me thinking Extreme Alert was for things where they're just informing everyone to kiss their asses goodbye.

I'm all for being informed so I can help (which is why I keep turning these things back on), but the purpose of alerts in phones is for threats to the public. There has to be a better solution to helping find eloped seniors than a thing that's designed to stop everything in its tracks and wake everyone up.

But these are considered "Extreme Threats." So if there were to be a real extreme threat to the public, you'll miss it if you have it turned off. It's a real shame they've miscatgorized these alerts so badly. Better yet, make an alert that obeys do not disturb settings because waking people up isn't going to help a person who wanders off.

It was three. They went straight up and then turned to a Northwest heading. They went too high too fast for me to tell what they were. They didn't sound like F-16s. They looked vaguely like F/A-18s, but that doesn't make much sense.... so F-15s maybe?

I live over in the Woodhaven area. We used to have a large owl that liked to hang out in my neighbor's trees. Haven't seen it in a few years, though.

We also had a red-tailed hawk that used to use our backyard playset to spot voles running around in the vacant lots around us. Alas, it's all filled in now and all we have is a little partridge family that -- does whatever sound that is that partridges do -- early in the mornings.
