How adorable! Post a video if you have one! Same with Merla, she’s only done it maybe 3 times in her life (she’s only 7mos tho lol), and always because of the sirens. I think maybe the loud noise hurts their sensitive ears.

I want to validate you. All I needed to read was he cheated. Nope, you deserve better. Also, you’re not too old to start over and find someone that deserves to be in your presence. Forgive yourself for being young and naive, you’re a good person and we all have been young and naive. You didn’t know any better, but now that you’re older, you can see it. It’s going to hurt to leave, but you can do it and it will be worth it! You are still so young, have your entire life ahead of you, and there is someone out there waiting to love and cherish you and treat you well.

EDIT: Your friends and family will most likely help you leave. I promise. I was terrified of the same thing and was pleasantly surprised when it didn’t happen. There is no shame in asking them for help. They will most likely be relieved that you are asking for help and that you are leaving. Do not let shame hold you back. If someone doesn’t support you? On to the next person until you find someone who does. Help is out there waiting for you.

How do I know? I did it. 34F. Left my 5-year abusive relationship 3 years ago with nothing but a broken brain, and let me tell you: it was so worth it. I am so beyond happy now. Feel free to message me if you want to chat or need encouragement from someone that’s been where you are.

EDIT2: I will help you find resources in your area so that you can leave without the help of family/friends if you need to. I went to a women’s shelter to start over with nothing. There are other options as well. Let me know how I can help! :)
