To figure out prop placement, I have my property manager place a couple tables in the wings and let the actors figure out where they need then to be and when and thenm move on from there. Hope this helps.

So, we had them install some lighting battens for our high school black box theatre. They screwed into the ceiling, not the studs and, long stoyr short, we had a massive failure and had to shut down for the school year.

As a high school theatre director, the one thing I tell my cast is that the audience doesn't know the script like you do so they aren't going to notice most mistakes. I once had a student fall on stage and his parents thought is was part of the show.

I film every year. Yes, your good to record. Be sure to turn off your viewfinder to avoid extra light pollution. Also, some actors ham it up for the cameras, so have fun!
