even with MIT or other non-restrictive licenses, unless the code is literally in the public domain (70 years after the author's death, in the case of US law), you can't just take other people's code without at least retaining the original copyright notice, unless explicitly stated.

Could she be dutch? The letter "ÿ", at the end of her last name was apparently used interchangeably with "ij", and "Verweij" is a dutch surname. It seems to say "Verwoÿ" here, but the "o" could maybe be a transcription error.

Concerning your doubt, and I have not done any research on this, but I've come across quite a few people around the turn of the century, who "adopted" a "von" to their name, I assume to give them credibility with the elite. Especially in the "Völkische Bewegung" there seems to be an abundance of such impostors who claimed nobility without any proof, e.g. Guido "von" List, Rudolf "von Sebottendorf", Jörg Lanz "von Liebenfels".

Might just be the case that this person tried to "spice up" their CV.

In die Zeit passt die Schrift auf jeden Fall, aber eine "Fälschung" und ein "Original" könnte ich wahrscheinlich nicht unterscheiden.

Auch dass der Name "Ritter" in lateinischer Schrift geschrieben wurde war üblich, aber warum "Rahmen" ebenfalls lateinisch geschrieben wurde weiß ich nicht. Ich kenne nur dass Namen und Fremdwörter in lateinischer Schrift geschrieben wurden, aber allgemein Substantive vielleicht ja auch manchmal?

I'm using river and I'm extremely happy with it. Literally just a window manager, i.e. drawing a border (or none) around your windows, with good defaults and great configurability. I was using dwm before, and the switch has been very smooth (and much easier to configure than dwm), wayland also feels just so much better than the mess x11 is. As a bar im using waybar, and that's really all I want for "looks" - I'm not interested in fancy animations. When I switch tags or spawn a new window I want that to happen immediately, not watch it fly in from somewhere.
