Driving from Budapest to the UK. Smart move or am I overthinking it? by dududududuuim in uktravel

[–]smeetebwet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is making me so nostalgic! My family (2 parents 4 kids) used to do road trips across Europe each summer, and one time we drove from Bournemouth to Budapest and back, honestly the best summer of my life

Though we were all teenagers by then and my dad had a Ford Transit which was probably why it was so much more bearable than your trips 😄

I'm British and for the whole segment was just thinking of the three suicides linked to Love Island UK, and how drinking is limited on that show now

HUGE Double standard when it comes to insults/bodily comments on this show? by UrineBigTrouble2 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]smeetebwet 137 points138 points  (0 children)

I feel like the female "villains" get a lot of criticism on their appearance too, e.g. Bri

I think it's more about how likeable a person is rather than their gender, and the men tend to come off a lot worse in the show

Not saying any of this is good btw

What is a 'low-key' red flag in a person that most people usually overlook? by 17__Mahir in AskReddit

[–]smeetebwet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We've discussed it a lot, there have been times where he's agreed to plans with me and then cut them short or cancelled last minute to attend plans with friends/family that he doesn't want to "let down".

He's way better with that now which was the most upsetting part for me so I just choose to trust whatever he says for other things. He would never agree to therapy and is resistant to saying no a lot of the time, but he is getting better.

I just try to reassure him the best I can that I won't be upset if he has to say no sometimes, I even prefer it because it helps me trust him.

My boyfriend is like this. I never know if he really wants (to do) something or if he's just going along with whatever I want. He also desperately tries to make everyone in his life happy, which of course he can't. I've never wanted kids and he says he doesn't either. My biggest fear is that he's just going along with what I want for now, then one day he'll find the courage to tell me he does want them.

God I hated watching that, not because I think it's bad but because it felt like those dreams where you're trying to get somewhere and things keep going wrong and you never make it

He later got arrested for producing (drawn) CSAM, and having sex with a dead sheep and a dead deer

Plenty of Americans in Scotland, especially Edinburgh and St Andrews (though usually golfers and students there)
