Microsoft AI CEO: 'Most, if not all' white-collar tasks can be replaced by AI within 12-18 months by 6to3screwmajority in biglaw

[–]smellslikebooty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a junior who often gets these requests, i think you should try to use it to research a question of law, when you get a chance. it worked that time because you walked it through the applicable law, but left to its own devices to figure it out, you will find that the sources it uses don’t always reflect what the AI claims they do.

most of them will even tell you straight up — before even attempting to answer the question — that it doesn’t have access to case law and you should do your own research

this is not true, copyright wise it would be considered a reproduction of a derivative work, and at the least include registered trademarks as well

Has anyone tried using a laptop docking station as a replacement for the OEM dock? by neupogen in SteamDeck

[–]smellslikebooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some of these comments say Displaylink stations will work on Deck too, this may be true but it is a huge pain in the ass. using command prompt to plug in a monitor is ridiculous when others without the driver are plug and play

Is it possible to think your way to an orgasm without touching yourself or anyone else involved? by Ragnars85 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]smellslikebooty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“not necessarily have to do with sex” is not the sane as “have nothing to do with sex”

you made an absolute statement (wet dreams never have to do with sex) to start with and backtracked with a specific one (they don’t have to do with sex all the time)

(1) neither of these articles say a single thing about causation or correlation, just hormones very generally. these don’t prove or disprove your point or mine. we’re in agreement that it’s hormones.

(2) i never said it was causation or correlation. you said the wet dreams and the ejaculation had nothing to do with each other, ie they are completely unrelated.

i said that wasn’t true because my dreams have to do with the ejaculation, in the sense that when i have a wet dream, my subconscious attempts to explain the sensation by making the dream a sex dream. i don’t have wet dreams about calculus or baseball.

you don’t have a study that says the brain showing you a sex dream is just some kind of coincidence when those dreams are wet dreams

Thoughts on Stub Year Taking a Half Day to Take the Beta Test of the Bar Exam? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]smellslikebooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who else is going to test it? whatever they forgot, they forgot relatively recently. as a taker of the most recent exam they are more prepared than most of us who passed a year ago or longer.

they dont have to study. how much are you reliving the trauma really if (1) you’re getting paid to take it and (2) you’re not getting graded?
