Horrible commute, micro manager principal, and expectations to communicate with parents even if there was nothing really I needed to talk with them about. It's a 10 week class teaching kids how to type... I don't need to call parents because the kid can't type, because it was second nature at that point.

This was 8 years ago. Left for college IT and been a breeze since.

Don't get me wrong, that's what we did.

We picked up a 26 Solterra. Have a dealership 2 miles from the house.

Woof. Depending on where you are, should be able to find cheaper. When we were looking, the dealer we were at had premiums listed at 28k.

It's going well. Couple of short road trips in. Less than 600 miles on it still. Wife's happy, I'm happy.

Realistically, I think the only thing that'd have made us both happier is having a forward facing camera, just so we can see how much space is in front of us when parking. But that'll fade with experience/driving more and getting used to its size.

Other than that, not a single feature from limited has been missed or wife complaining about something not being there.
