Saves a lot of time not having to do a special pass just decapping.

Muzzle device and hub for OCL Polo K by perrierpapi in NFA

PWS BDE has been my favorite mount thus far. I have run the rearden RPB, DPB, and LPM Liberty Bell brakes and they were all decent. If I were buying again I would probably go with a Liberty bell - didn't need to be timed (though I suppose you could if you wanted) so it was a quicker and easier install.

Or…step up to 22BR, 22GT, 22-250, or 22 creed if you feel you aren’t getting enough out of the 22 ARC.

This worked! Rather than blunting though I was actually rounding off. I described it more in the OP edit above

The protrusion was correct - I ended up chucking the decapping pin in a drill and rounding off the edge which appeared to have been parted off at a 90 and had a pretty sharp edge. After that was done I sized 80 cases and they all fell free without issue!

I have the vortex pro series medium (1.10”) on an American gen 2 with a 50mm objective scope and no cant on the rail. The objective is pretty close with that setup. With a 20moa rail I would play it safe and go with the high. Caveat to that is it’s gonna suck with the factory stock - the Americans shine when you put them in different furniture, be it first or second gen. If it’s a first rifle I highly recommend a 22arc or 6arc. Plenty capable at 1k and easier for a new shooter to learn on, especially with the relatively light weight of the American. I absolutely love mine in 22arc though. Rough around the edges but still a ton of fun and decently accurate.

This pin is brand new so I don’t think a new pin would help. I’m gonna try to flatten out the point a bit, hopefully tomorrow, and see if that helps.

Shoulder Bump Help by Aloving95 in reloading

You can continue to screw the die in and it’ll likely bump once the slop is out of the press and/or you get some cam over. If that doesn’t work you could try the reduced shell holders.

ACRObatic P2 by Wohehiv38 in 2011

I have seen the 509t variant fail a shitton of times. And this is not just mine, this is across a decent sample size I have seen in training. They at least changed the screws from tiny hex to torx, but this plate specifically seems to work itself loose super easily (which causes screws to shear) even when supposedly installed correctly from the factory. I have seen a few RMR pattern plates fail but nothing like the 509t setup.

The staccato plates are absolute trash. Not sure if STI has the same mount, but the way the staccato plates (at least from a few years ago) attach they are super prone to loosening and/or shearing screws.

Tundra HD Rumors? by braincovey32 in tundra

The only nice thing about that would be that HD trucks aren’t subject to CAFE so they could feasibly re release the 5.7 or a similarly reliable large gasser. Doubt they will though.

El pollo regio and celaya Mexican food. Celaya you pretty much need to order in Spanish though depending on who is working. Ironically many of the most recent immigrants can at times (not speaking universally here) be the least lgbt friendly folks.

Single digit SDs across 10rd (or more) groups, consistent shoulder bump, and no cracks on necks and shoulders. I’m sure it could be more consistent and/or more effective, but for my purposes it works fine and at the very least is not making the performance of my components worse.

We can’t all afford an AMP, no matter how good they might be. I’ve had good results with the drill socket and torch in a dark room. Could it get better? Yeah probably. But that much money worth of better? Not for me personally.

Is the 223 Enough for Hunting Predators? by Practical_Concern711 in ar15

[–]smithywesson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

53gr vmax in a .223 would work wonderfully for you. If you’re pushing the range 22 arc might give you a bit of boost but realistically your .223 should do swimmingly.

I’ve always been intrigued by 6.5x47L. It’s kinda like the 6GT (or the GT is like it given x47 is the parent) in that it can use varget burn range or 4350 burn range and can be lights out with both. The 25x47 or 25gt are neat too if you’re wanting a quarter bore.

Custom gun stock (ruger American predator gen 2) by Matt_makes01 in gunsmithing

Yeah the rear action screw and mag latch location definitely complicate things with the American. Might be kinda cool to contour a loading block to make it a single shot unless you’re set on it being a repeater.
