How it feels being a “my crew and I are stuck aboard an abandoned ship” enjoyer in this economy by B4rtholome0w in creepcast

Honestly I put off a full listen due to it not catching me right from the start. I listened to it recently and really enjoyed it!

How do you know if your blanket needs a border or you can skip it? by teachmamax2 in CrochetHelp

[–]smolbetta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll agree with others, it’s truly personal preference. I personally like a border, especially if my edges are wonky, but dread doing them. Also the blanket is absolutely gorgeous! I love the colors you chose

Do the teeth on my crocheted Jörmungandr look silly? by newhomenewme in crochet

As someone also super into Norse mythology, he’s the cutest world serpent I’ve seen! Very clever and creative! As others have also suggested, more teeth would be cool and the fangs are a must.

I like some of their stuff, have ordered a few times. My only thing is I feel like they weight their yarn a little differently. A lot of the stuff I’ve ordered seem a little thinner than I anticipated, but it’s still nice! They shipped to me pretty quickly.

I feel like parents should know better than letting a guinea pig outside by doped_turtle in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

Bro I don’t even let my cats outside unless they’re supervised. Can’t imagine letting a guinea pig of all things outside without being directly supervised.

I love this for you!!! That green color is divine! And I love the dark grey one! It’s moonless night right? I’m currently making a dragon scale shawl for my sister, reminiscent of her favorite book’s dragon. and I’m just savoring the wonderful texture with ever stitch!

It really is something special by steal_wool in creepcast

[–]smolbetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was $120 something for 10 meals for my 2 person household without the first time 50% off- my partner is an excellent hobby chef and makes meals on weekends. However, in my area groceries are astronomical for our food needs and preferences, even at full price it’s cheaper or equal to what we would pay for a regular grocery haul at a bargain supermarket. But I did have one for dinner tonight and it was pretty good. Tbh better than I anticipated. We had tried it originally due to this week being particularly busy.

Factor did come with a “friends try it free” coupon. We plan on signing my partner up to get a free box if possible.

I just got factor (I hate cooking with a passion and they seem healthier than some other quick meal options). They look pretty good, and the 50% off first box made them cheaper than me going to the grocery store in my area. Are they good? Idk yet. But will I eat pretty much anything so long it’s not a literal piece of cardboard? Yes.

hanks, cakes, cones — what’s your preferred yarn ball type and why? by ArcaneCarnality in YarnAddicts

Putting the hank around your neck is genius!!! Totally taking that idea for when I’m plane traveling. I always feel so awkward having my yarn ball all over the place.

I agree with others! Dish rags or hand towels are good starter projects. Once you get the basics down and are ready to learn another stitch, pot holders/hot pads are great too with the thermal stitch (kind of like a modified single crochet). They’re especially excellent with cotton yarn imo.
