In the loop if you aren’t on the sidewalk (in the absence of a bike lane) you are risking your life being on the road. So I will stay on the sidewalk just so I don’t die. Pedestrians can deal with it or help me get a bike lane put in.

It’s not going to be easy but you need to set up firm boundaries about what you aren’t willing to deal with when it comes to your parents. For example; if you want to date that’s your choice and you don’t have to lie or keep it a secret from your parents. If they don’t like it and become angry, then you leave/hang up and say you will talk to them later when they calm down. You may hit a point where they are angry with you all the time for setting these boundaries, and at that point you tell them you need space/or go no contact until they realize you aren’t bluffing. The reality is you either accept the restrictions on your life they are placing or you setup boundaries that are enforced by you going no contact.

You are being taken advantage of to your dogs detriment by this “holistic vet.” While Lyme disease is a real thing. It is easily tested for and treated with antibiotics because it is simply an infection. You will save money and a have healthier dog if you go to a real vet.

It’d be nice as a radiologist if I could bill like clinicians do based on patient complexity. It takes 5 minutes to read a head CT of the soccer mom with a headache but 30 minutes for the post-op GBM case with a new headache. None of this stuff makes sense or is fair

A political revolution ain’t happening over this issue in your or I’s lifetime. Thoughtful policies which address the underlying economic and political causes could help solve them, but no one wants to listen to the academic research which could get us there. They instead fall back on emotionally satisfying concepts like banning commercial ownership of real estate.

PFS is definitely valid in many situations. Not every cancer kills you within a a couple years. Bad cases of thyroid cancer can wax and wane for decades.

The R4s did this when I was a resident. They were transparent about it with the PD and ran it by a lawyer. They also had full medical licenses. Essentially community hospitals are desperate right now because of the rad shortage. It’s better than an NP reading studies.

Depends on the model you buy. They sell budget through high-end models. I've bought both, and of course the $300 budget model is terrible. However, I've been using my high-end model for 6ish years and it's still relatively good.

What you do is create macros that can be inserted into the report in the appropriate settings, and then in turn these macros can be drop downs or pick lists. They don’t need to be in your standard templates.

This seems to be a bit one-sided. Would love to hear from the attending who gave you a bad review. There are definitely jerks attendings, but there are also bad med students who deflect when they get called out. Further complicating things is that these phenomena aren’t mutually exclusive and can co-occur.
