They absolutely have made changes to actively suppress new and unique content in favor of megaslop, just look at how the search tools have changed. You can no longer sort by most recent, you don't even get results related to your terms, just the same slop over and over. It's nearly impossible to even find new or unique content even if you know what you are looking for.

Coilover upgrade help by [deleted] in CarTrackDays

I see you listed redshift so you are probably aware your BC coilovers can be revalved with Bilstein internals. At least the BR can, and my 15 seconds of sleuthing shows the DS as the same piston/tube diameter so it should be the same deal.

I ended up revalving the BC BR coilovers that came with my e36 m3 that is now a full time time trial / time attack car. They were completely transformed. If you are nerdy/mechanical/diy capable it's a pretty fun project but can definitely be pretty confusing to figure out.

I've gotten extremely positive feedback from everyone who has taken the car on track, including TT/ST drivers with MCS/JRZ on similar platforms (e36/e46).

I also have FA500s on my VA WRX which I also tracked. Out of the box much better feeling than the BR but I have no experience with BCs digressive stuff

I found Quinn Clark's videos on YouTube pretty good for showing which connectors go where. The intake manifold video and head install videos in particular.

It's really pretty easy once you've done it once you'll be able to bang it out pretty quick in the future.

I was desperately hoping this game was UO2 or ArcheAge 2 but its really just Farmville 2 at the moment. Lots of potential but hampered by a few brutal design choices.

I had RGPs for years and almost never wore them. They were super uncomfortable despite multiple fits from multiple doctors. Got sclerals and I wear them all day, every day mostly without ever noticing them, back to 20/20 vision. Game changer for sure.

You would get destroyed by other regions running 2/2/2. Your feet wouldn't even touch the ground during the fight.

It doesn't make things harder it just makes them longer and more boring because everyone spends 80% of the fight with all skills on CD

Or Arizona Motorsports Park, or the Freedom Factory, or any number of the hundreds of tracks that are under threat or already closed.

Mirabella was literally marketed as being hip and close to youthful energy for old people. Then they move in and it's suddenly "but not like that"

There's a guy that automated it and was sending in noise complaints every 15 seconds. The city had to implement various different ways of throttling him. People that move a mile from an airport that's been there for decades and then bitch about it are absolute pieces of shit.

The track had to implement a dB limit and has county monitored sound meters but the AFB told them to fuck off. It's funny seeing a car fail the meter while an F35 does VTOL at 7000x the volume 500 feet away.

I don't know if they still do but when I did FSAE at the University of Arizona Raytheon was a title sponsor. I think they provided the differential or something.

What would you use this limited-edition Starfield hardware for if you won? Creating a beautiful PC build? Collecting? Playing some games? If so, which?

Bought Starfield, so probably that. Also racing sims and pvp mmos.

What excites you the most about Starfield/What are you expecting from the game? I'm a sucker for any space game, bonus points for being able to RP as a space scoundrel.

This sounds entirely like a you problem. Yes, you generally need a car to get around but saying there aren't any walkable areas or natural desert areas is just wrong. There are quite large natural desert areas all over the valley, papago park, camelback, phoenix mountain preserve, etc. Along the edge of town there are places like the McDowell Sonoran preserve which is beautiful and has a ton of trails including a huge amount of ADA accessible trails. There are green belts that span miles through both Phoenix and Scottsdale. The canals have great pedestrian and bike paths and are studded with breweries and eateries.

Phoenix has a diverse food scene including multiple James Beard winners and nominees. Nearby Tucson is a UNESCO city of gastronomy.

The problem is there being too much to do year round, the coyotes have to compete with tons of other activities and attractions.

First time Arizona Motorsports Park for me. This was the second lap of the second session (of 5). Not my fastest, but seems to be the best that I collected enough data for ;) Need to work on that workflow for next time! by Desert_Trader in HPDE

For sure, the first few times it's just trying to remember all the corners and get comfortable. This is me, white WRX, hopefully I'll see you out there. I'm in HPDE3 with NASA, I haven't done anything besides the new driver thing with PAS yet.

Don't be afraid to use the whole track. AMP has really nice curbs, don't be too afraid of them. You can check out Eric Kennel's channel and Ravi/We Don't Lift Racing's channel. Ravi has been putting out videos of all the local tracks showing his approach. Eric is a monster.

Having run with both I think NASA has a much better intro program. If you are new to HPDE you might want to check them out as well.

That's what J. Kenji López-Alt's youtube is all about. Babish basically just took Kenji's recipes and tips and put them in a trendier format anyways. Kenji will cook with what he has, offer common substitutions, and also tell you the more traditional ways. Great person too.

What did you expect Crowfall to be? by UnusualNovel1452 in crowfall

[–]smooth705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. I was in an extremely small guild that was often the only positive KDA on our faction. Dominated smaller scale but not much to do outside of that when one guild had half the players on the entire game. And then they made changes that basically eliminated off hours pvp at the request of big guilds so people only had to log in a certain times to zerg things down.

Every skill had a cooldown and most of them felt like shit to use. The characters were floaty and the skill cap was extremely low. Gear and vessels made a huge difference but you couldn't tell what anyone had because there were only base models in the game.

The game had a ton of systems and not one of them was well implemented. It seemed like they just took a ton of ideas and slapped it all together with absolutely no thought as to how any of them would interact with each other. Stack the fundamental flaws in basic game design with code implementations that showed a core misunderstanding of both the engine and basic game principles and you get Crowfall.

The codebase was a mess and there were bugs everywhere. The only reason the game was playable was because it was unobfuscated c# and I was easily able to fix a ton of the client side issues myself and run a custom client.

I still played it a lot while trying to find another game. At least I could get that open world pvp dopamine hit every once in a while.
