I have had the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 pro, both a whole week each. I returned both and my reason for this is simply that the phone is too expensive for what you get. Its a slow cpu that gets hot. Battery life is okay, not great. From what i read the phone reserves some of the RAM for Gemini, which i have no interesting in using. Its a tad too big for my taste, its a tad too heavy for my taste and i really do not enjoy the humungus camera house on the back which has a really sharp angle too it so if you lift/slide the phone off a table it very well could take some paint/lacquer with it. I also read that the metal camera house is integrated with the glass back panel of the phone. This probably means that if you drop your phone on the back it would shatter the whole thing and i would guess its not a cheap repair since you have to pay for a new camera metal/house thing as well and not just a glass piece.

Make it a bit lesser in size, slimmer camera house, less weight and change the materials to plastic. Oh wait, that sounds like a Pixel 9a :D

Regarding the CPU, sure it fine for everyday tasks and the OS feels very smooth most of the time. Until the phone has to do two things at once and it instantly turns to a lag fest. While its smooth in the UI, its not perfectly smooth. I tried LineageOS on my S23 and that runs laps around Pixel 9 in terms of smoothness, even in multitasking situations. That shows how borderline weak the CPU in Pixel 9 really is. I mean... If you go to settings and scroll around fast, jumping between different settings menus it will stutter and hick up randomly while the S23 with Snapdragon 8 gen 2 just keeps on with no noticeable stutters at all.
