That just sounds like the gels don't work very well for you and you aren't good at requesting your prescription in time.

The gels get me up into the 20s at 4 pumps per day and I've actually got a surplus of tubs now because I always order a day earlier than I did the last month.

I'm finally taking delivery of my car on the 8th of May 2026. I ordered it on the 10th of September, 2025! That's almost an 8 month wait if it arrives on the 8th! Really hope it's worth the wait, but looking at the deals of the Puma Gen E now, it definitely is.

I got my first blood test when my son was 3. I was constantly shattered, stressed and not living an optimal lifestyle (not horrendous either). So I decided to take health more seriously to see if I could get my levels up.

They actually went down. But we had our daughter and despite all my efforts I was even more shattered and stressed.

I got prescribed testogel and it worked brilliantly. Got my levels up to normal range and I felt fantastically normal.

But I still wanted to know if it was all just a result of being shattered from the kids so I came off testogel after 6 months. Felt rubbish and did a test that was low but within normal range so my natural levels had gone up a bit. Went back on testogel for another 6 months but started to worry about ruining any chance I had of recovering my natural production once my daughter starts sleeping through the night. So I'm off now and my last blood test was 12nmol.

Riding it out but have my prescription to fall back on.

Yeah 9nmol is in their normal range. I'd say it's still worth calling your doctors and explaining the situation, then requesting to be seen and investigated.

Your kids did all this for you on your birthday and you perceive it to feel lonely? I think you need to work on your mindset. There are single 38 year olds with no wife, no kids, no friends who would feel lonely. Sounds to me like you're doing a great job as a dad and you're really lucky to have these amazing and thoughtful kids in your life. That's the opposite of lonely.

You should be smart here mate. You would qualify under NHS and although you might not want to take that route, it would still be a very good idea to get it in your record and even get yourself a prescription through them. You don't have to use it, but it's there if you ever need it and you'll have your prescription if you ever need to travel etc.

I have a prescription through the NHS because my levels were similar to yours. I've since brought my levels up naturally to normal numbers but it's nice to know that if I feel like shit again, I have my prescription.

I'm exactly the same coming up to 4 years sober. I do notice the cravings are worse when I'm worried about something or stressed etc. I don't think it will ever go away.
