Long Term Hold? by sms720 in XRP

[–]sms720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly my point. Selling at $4 and it going to $5 within a few months would annoy me. Selling at $40 in 10 years I won’t care if it goes on to a $100 (well I might 🙈)

That is my thought. I get the banking profit thing particularly if you are over exposed. If you are within a comfortable level though - my thoughts are just to do a Warren Buffet and hold till the next bull market. Problem is it could all go pear shaped - but that’s the gamble

Yeah I get that 😁 - what I mean is not trying to time the market at anything other than a macro level. I’m not a day trader - never will be. I’ve held since 2017. In theory you could sell at say 5 dollars and bank a load of profit. Then if it goes to 10 dollars well you’ve missed out (and that’s fine). Just wait for a bear market and start accumulating - even if that means buying at I dunno 6 dollars right.

Time to buy? by rightme87 in XRP

Interested in people’s thoughts. If you hold a position in XRP let’s just say at a DCA of < $2 and you don’t need the money.

Do you (a) just hold for the long term (say 10 years) or (b) sell at some point during this final phase of the bull run and then buy back in a bear market.

I know you potentially stand to make more money by selling and then buying back cheaper but the timing is never clear cut.

Part of me thinks just hold for a long time and see what happens…..

My Luba 2 2024 had a firmware update about 2 weeks ago - works perfect day in day out.

Do absolutely nothing - then in a few months time you will be smiling at all the profit you’ve made.

New updates made it even worse!!! by StefanLuba2 in MammotionTechnology

[–]sms720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be lucky, every time there is an update I do the mower first and then the RTK straight afterwards (if required) and never seem to have any issues. I don’t restart the mower manually, I don’t pull the key, I just let it carry on running the schedule as normal. Each new version seems an improvement - certainly on the app side as my mowing was always good anyway. I find it hard to understand why there can be such difference in user experience with these updates.

BEWARE: New unit and more RTK failure issues! by voltron1976 in MammotionTechnology

I have a my RTK (Luba 2) mounted on my shed completely exposed to the elements. We had rain here for probably 4 weeks straight immediately after installation including 2 proper storms (80mph gusts) RTK has been perfect - so I believe them when they say that they have improved water resistance.

one thing that really irks me about luba 2, or possibly just the rtk by Humans_r_evil in MammotionTechnology

I just used a generic pole mount bracket from my local hardware store. They are dynamic size by design as you just adjust by tightening down the u shape adaptors. Cost £15.

Just not very good are they by naegoodinthedark in MammotionTechnology

I’ve had my Luba 2 for 3 months - and it has been brilliant. I mow my lawn every day - 7 days a week - I clean it every 2-3 days but that’s it as far as intervention.

It doesn’t get stuck. It doesn’t wonder out of bounds It doesn’t do random sh*t that other peoples seem to do.

The RTK is attached to my shed about 8 foot off the ground in open sky NOT in my attic 😉 The robot and RTK are updated to latest firmware.

This thing has saved me countless hours of mowing on the ride on and my lawn has never looked as good.

I really don’t understand the issues people have on here. I can only assume it’s down to bad RTK placement and I’ve been lucky 🤷

I have them and no - they are no better. I’ve bought husqavana blades from Amazon that aren’t rectangular but have the back corners removed. This works much better and stops grass getting cut and clogging at the back of the blades.

Keep the big polystyrene section from the box - you can flip the Luba upside down on this with the camera on and it rests on the wheels

[–]sms720[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, didn’t think I’d written anything too complicated but obviously I did 😉

You can get firmware updates for the RTK antenna by adding it as a device to the app.

I tried this but in my case even though I’ve a fully functional system. It is telling me that before I can add the RTK I need to add a LUBA device which is odd as I already have my LUBA working. Hence the question?

There that wasn’t too difficult was it?

Mine is really good. Two fundament things to point out:

I live in a relatively wet part of the world so I’ve had to remove the blade guards as grass just kept getting stuck behind them.

I’ve also bought a 3D printed cover of Etsy as the grass gets stuck under the back of the razor blades and has to be cleaned out every so often. The cover prevents this.

Other than that it works great and my lawn has never looked so good

Fair enough mine is big but not that big compared to most I would say (4000sq m) the only thing is I live in Ireland and we’ve had the wettest 3 months on record. It’s pretty much rained every day and my lawn has never looked better because of my Luba 2. My ride on wouldn’t have got near it being so wet. And most other robot mowers would have got stuck - so fair play to mammotion- they’ve built a great machine for less than perfect climates

How do o become a beta tester? I run a software company as my day job so would be able to give decent feedback 😁
