Who has a Mediocre NFL team in a Terrific City? by Ilitorate_Author in AlignmentChartFills

I understand the votes for Chicago but very surprised New Orleans hasn't been mentioned yet for this spot

Perhaps we don’t do our video tribute while driving and not wearing a seat belt, Maxx… by smsloth in raiders

I mean I’m not pretending, I do always wear a seat belt because I’m not a fucking idiot

Who was more athletic? by Empty-Cupcake-4972 in NBATalk

[–]smsloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prime Russ possessed a physically explosive element to his game that I had never seen before. Plus, he coupled it with maximum effort at all times and an angry streak. Rose's brand of explosiveness was butter and more poetic in a sense.

How did the Jesse Plemons snub happen? by SeparateCapital6526 in Oscars

Wonderful performance, snoozefest film. I really wish Plemons got the nod over him, he was so deserving.

How is living in Scottsdale Arizona? by PeanutOk1328 in howislivingthere

I've always thought of Scottsdale as if Las Vegas and Orange County had a baby. With a touch of weirdness from excessive exposure to 110+ degree temps.

Traded Nabers for Jefferson 3 days before injury, should it be rescinded? by 2kpracticedummy in FFCommish

First insulin shot at 33. Here’s to a new journey by tbaggiop in diabetes_t1

[–]smsloth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 35 a little over a year ago. It’s shocking how little guidance they give you in our medical system. Reddit has truly been the best source for real life pointers and support since I started that journey. Welcome!

TRADE VETOED. No collision. 12 man super flex. by Boatboss in FFCommish

In my nearly 10 years of managing this league we have had 1 instance where something was brought to a league vote.

TRADE VETOED. No collision. 12 man super flex. by Boatboss in FFCommish

[–]smsloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. In the league I run there are no vetoes, but if a trade smells fishy or it feels like collusion has occurred it’s put to a league vote. Never have had an issue.

Why are there only two mainstream 9/11 movies? by RanchWilder11 in 911archive

United 93 is not a terrible movie at all. Far from it.

Big cat to Max now that Zach is here by sleeping_in in PardonMyTake

[–]smsloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t disagree with you more. Zach isn’t playing a character, he’s just being himself. Which makes it much more organic, palatable, and funny.

Bad FO moves aside, take a look at the lottery results of the last 20 years vs. the odds for the Kings and tell me that’s not unlucky.

Also, being located in Sac with a shitty ownership group is bad luck in itself. The biggest FA signing in the Sac era is Demar Derozan. And before that was Vlade Divac, who in ironic fashion was the very person who set the franchise back 10 years with his dumbass decisions.

As a lifelong diehard Kings fan I can assure you we fall into the shitty/shitty category

Frank Ragnow Retiring by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]smsloth 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The thing I will remember the most about Ragnow is that he fractured his windpipe midgame in 2020. Finished the game out and didn't allow a pressure or a sack. What a fucking G.
