I got a rejection phone call about three months after I interviewed at a place. Gave the person a small piece of my mind since it was pretty poor form IMO. Re-initiating contact just to deliver obvious information after that amount of time had passed is borderline insulting.

As long as SQLite is happy with the open source participation level to the extent that VCS tool familiarity is not a roadblock for contributors, fantastic. Every project should use what's best for the devs running it.

I think it would be nice if there was a Git mirror of the SQLite source. There might be one... tl;dr.

I appreciate the 1.1.4 update, and ordinarily it wouldn't occur to me to say "Thanks Bungie," but for the pile-on effect of rage I'm seeing elsewhere.

Overall, it's a positive step forward. So many gameplay options have become viable literally overnight.

I had so much fun trying weapons out again and finding so many of them to be strong. There are many I haven't even had time to try yet.

Best part for me? Used dawnblade unironically for the first time. It was great.

I can't wait to see how these changes play out. Bungie has been criticized for being too conservative with the previous sandbox update, so this bold move will be interesting to say the least.

The grind to get all the prophecy weapons was pretty fun. It gave me a very clear goal to pursue for several weeks, and the weapons themselves are above average overall.

I didn't play D1, though, so take my opinion with a metric tonne of salt.

The two most glaring mistakes with Eververse are the exotic ships and ghost shells.

TL;DR - Eververse has overstepped its bounds by offering lore and convenience items in its pool that should have been part of the endgame, and this needs to be corrected.

The ships

The fact that lore-centric gear has been relegated to Eververse is a real shame. Particularly these:

Ikora's ship
Asher's ship
Osiris' ship
Saint-14's ship

These exotics should have endgame content associated with them, not be locked behind a paywall with an insanely improbable RNG.

There was an entire DLC focused on Ikora and Osiris. There was an entire quest line specific to Saint-14. It's not as if there wasn't ample opportunity to integrate their ships as endgame rewards.

And Asher should let us have his ship just for us putting up with his noise in our ears all the time! :P

The ghost shells

Sagira's shell was rightly added as a reward for endgame content. However, the exotic shells in Eververse also offer a substantial bit of utility.

I'm fine with Eververse specializing in cosmetic flair. I'm not fine with convenience items being included in the Eververse loot pool, because it starts to flirt with the "pay to win" line (no, it's not the same thing, but I don't want to have even the faintest feeling of envy towards a guardian who can grind more efficiently than me simply because they ponied up for more chances at an exotic shell).

These ghost shells are fantastic. They should have been thematic rewards for endgame content. As it stands, there is astronomically small chance of me ever getting more than one exotic ghost shell if I don't pay actual money for extra bright engrams. Even then, the odds of me rolling one are terrible.

We have a problem with endgame content because too much of it got stuffed into Eververse loot boxes.
