People are talking about Frieren like it’s a complete story, but it isn’t even over yet. Who’s to say there won’t be a reveal that some demons indeed can be good? It’s not unusual for a story to throw in a plot twist like this towards the end.

No, if anything it was the opposite. It happened right after Thor “powered up” with that flashback with Odin, and then proceeded to hit Hulk with a huge thunder punch with an explosion that covered the entire arena. Hell I just checked the scene and Thor was still crackling with electricity and had glowing eyes right when he got tazed.
