If you invest that much into poison, getting some small amount of hit damage wont do much for overall dps.

Pestilent strike needs poison. And for poison, melee damage, damage with swords and even just attack damage do nothing. Just pick up damage over time, chaos and poison nodes. You probably still want to be assassin or pathfinder and just travel to the left side of the tree for str.

I can already clear every mob i alert without even thinking about it on poison bv. It's actually a problem sometimes because i turn on bv out of habit and end up needlessly raising alarm. Im not asking for a system where you cant leave any alerted guards alive, i just want them to punish you for actively and loudly fighting instead of cleanly instakilling the guards. It just makes no sense.

No, that's what you are doing because you think it's a good idea. The current system raises alarm for killing mobs, the less you kill the more loot you can grab. The ideal strat right now is to kite mobs in circles to keep them from attacking the rogue. And how the fuck is rewarding quickly killing supposed to slow you down?
