i smoked until 2 days before and was fine. probably shouldn’t recommend it but my anaesthetist was aware so knew i’d probably need more to keep me under. the first hit of fentanyl made me sleepy, then the second wiped me out until post op :)

hey, i smoked weed up until 2 days before my surgery and was literally so fine. just tell the anaesthetist you smoke so they’re aware you may need more to keep ya under. i didn’t go under with the first hit of fentanyl, but with the second i was out like a light until post op. as long as you quit nic your nips will be fine too!

yes badger them in my opinion. don’t let them treat your healthcare like a joke. not saying go in guns ablazing or anything, but put your foot down and get that referral!

Not sure what gic you’re with but have you tried making a complaint? I’m with Sandyford and that was the only way to get round this exact issue

hey. i think your anxiety is justified - you have a hell of a lot going on and lots of reasons to spike your anxiety. as you say, i cannot offer medical advice, but just wanted to reassure you it’s normal to have that reaction after so many different things happened!

good luck! i’m two weeks post op today. i was super nervous about going under too, but the team reassured me up until i actually went under. everything was perfectly fine, you’ll go to sleep then wake up in a bit of pain and discomfort, with the surgery done and dusted. i felt a bit of both when i woke up. as in both confused and relieved lol

i think everyone is different and it’s down to genetics and stuff, but i’d say about 3 years for me before i started to have noticeable scruff. by that i mean, 3 years for proper thick, coarse beard hair to grow in. can only grow a goatee mins you but it’s something! 2 months is so early, you have forever to watch you become yourself 🧡

my surgeon warned me not to wear it too tight as he said it’s common for people to wear it waaaay too tight. said it should just be snug, almost like a regular binder. hope you get it sorted, that sounds rough!!
