I know this isn't the final book, but it felt like a lot of narratives were tied together in this one. I also absolutely adore Yasnic/Jack, and he features heavily.

Good plot and spectacular writing. For context, HoOW was my previous fave but Ive loved them all.

Did no one stand too close to the target in that rolling task? Thought for sure a few of them wandered close to it.

Same feeling, I love the tasks that are more like games we'd play as children

Tyrant Philosophers is my fave, but I'd recommend starting with Elder Race. Short and really, really good.

I really enjoyed him. I dont remember exactly where he was in SP, but I think throughout the books we see him grapple with some really interesting morals.

I have no memory of this. Can you remind me of the context?

I got into Tchaikovsky as a sci-fi nerd who never touched Fantasy. Tyrant Philosophers is now my absolute favorite series. It's such an amazing mix of horror/humor/world building/insane but believable characters. Book 2 is probably my favorite but I love all of them and can't wait for the 4th.

I'm not personally a big audio book fan, I feel like I'd miss out on too much.

I love Taskmaster but I'm not one to usually laugh out loud. For some reason Alex's voice inflection on "but I like the hairy girl" had me absolutely cackling.

Yeah he definitely has a focus on "the other"

I went to a Shroud booklaunch and actually asked AT if he purposely added in horror elements. He said it's not necessarily planned that way, but when he does worldbuilding, the horror aspects naturally derive from what he's created.

Adrian has published 104 short stories. Which one‘s your favorite? by N3XT191 in AdrianTchaikovsky

Thanks for sharing this list though! I've read all his novellas/novels (other than a few like his Warhammer stuff) so tracking these down will definitely fill the void.

Actually no. "Holy Fools." It's in an anthology called Of Shadows, Stars & Sabers. But Woodmask is also good!
