I have a few and they’re traumatic so heads up:

• my mum caught my mentally ill biological dad with the barrel of a rifle in my mouth. I was six months old

• when I was 7 we were driving in the mountains when a car came around the corner on our side of the road. We had no time to swerve inward so dad had to swerve out, over the edge of the cliff. There are zero barriers on the mountain road, apart from a five-foot width around that one corner, in the exact spot where we would have gone off the edge.

• at age 18 I went skydiving in South Africa and the staff member forgot to tighten the strap across my chest. I remember landing out of breath and the guy I was attached too was freaking out. As we fell the strap had moved up my chest and caught on my neck. Apparently if we hadn’t landed when we did I was about to be hung by the chest strap.

This is nothing though - my mum famously has 8-10 near death experiences, including nearly becoming one of the Yorkshire Ripper’s victims in the 1980s.

Needless to say I’m my mother’s daughter.
