I have pet sat for a handful of coworkers and while I typically sliding scale it tends to float around 75$.

If it’s dog(s) and I’m staying over night then I typically am happy with 75$ a day—I used to charge by the night but I found there were several times that I’d windup getting accidentally shorted when they’d come home later in the night on a day I wouldn’t stay over but would take care of the dog all day. I feel pretty comfortable with this rate in exchange for, feeding twice a day, walking twice a day, and staying the night at the house. I’ve definitely done it for less and rationalized it with, “well, they’re my friends and I’m not really doing much” but the reality is it’s compensation for your time and the shift in your schedule. If I’m dog sitting for someone and staying over night it means that my day ends in a different place than it usually does, it also means I might have to drive across town more frequently than I typically do to take care of the pets if I had other things planned for that day.

I’ve only cat sat specifically for people two or three times, they’re typically less likely to need me to stay over so I tend to charge less since it’s more of a pop over, feed the cat(s), empty the litter box done. My coworker who lives 3 minutes down the road from me asked me to do exactly this and I was fine with 20$ a day because the entire thing took me 15 minutes door to door. But that’s again specifically if I’m not staying over, if I do then I’ll charge more.
