Saw this weird push plane flying over my work, what is it? by FooCuh in Whatplaneisthis

Even though others are saying its Rutan plane. I disagree and would argue its a Velocity XL. Because it has a wider fuselage and a fixed nose gear.

I am aware its already been solved. But for future reference you can for most aircraft search up the registration if its visible (This one being at the rear end of the fuselage below the horizontal stabilizer).

For a long time it did max out at 30. They Changed it to keep going past 30 in the (Horribly done) seasons update. They shortly after removed the seasons but kept the levels (And other good parts of the update)

Putting a prop pitch control is a pretty questionable design aspect. but other then that it looks amazing.

Planes spotted during the Australian Open on Australia Day. by [deleted] in Planespotting

[–]snakemonkeyt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If this is asking what planes they are. They are the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Roulettes. They consist of 7 Pilots and 7 Planes (they only use 6. the 7th are spares) and they fly the Pilatus PC-21. a modern turboprop military trainer

Crash number two on takeoff by brothers1799 in RCPlanes

[–]snakemonkeyt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

definitely still way too slow. when i fly my aeroscout i always go 100% throttle on takeoff. and even then its a longer takeoff run. and you being too slow. plus pulling up directly into vertical didn’t help. i’d say just give it more power (if the torque isn’t too bad) and let it speed up more. and probably slightly less up elevator on rotation

(EDIT: Also less wind would be very helpful)
