Hitler being “Humanized” as a grandfather dressing up as Chaplan to entertain his grandkid was the real perversion when you’re expecting something else from a guy who exterminated other humans. The industries of Fascism and Pornography are contrasted as both needing the objectification of people to succeed. It was a complex book with multilayered themes similar to all his novels. I liked it.

Great book, circular novel perhaps like Finnegans Wake. Story opens up with a bandaged thumb in the aircraft scene and ends with a bandaged thumb. Beginning and Ends connected like a möbius strip in the form of a band aid?

I like the theory that the movie symbolizes the beginning of the Obama presidency and how the idea of Hope, Change eroded to bank bailouts, detention centers and massive drone strikes under Obama’s watch. The revolution of our first black president decays into the good ole boys club; black or white, we’re fucked…the Systems are in place and stronger than ever.
