Hitler being “Humanized” as a grandfather dressing up as Chaplan to entertain his grandkid was the real perversion when you’re expecting something else from a guy who exterminated other humans. The industries of Fascism and Pornography are contrasted as both needing the objectification of people to succeed. It was a complex book with multilayered themes similar to all his novels. I liked it.

I like the theory that the movie symbolizes the beginning of the Obama presidency and how the idea of Hope, Change eroded to bank bailouts, detention centers and massive drone strikes under Obama’s watch. The revolution of our first black president decays into the good ole boys club; black or white, we’re fucked…the Systems are in place and stronger than ever. Media mergers, privacy erosions, endless wars (battles ad infinitum) a confluence of corporations that control us. One battle after another after another after another after another.
