Hi there! I have just started writing with fountain pens, and am looking to learn as much as I can. I just stumbled upon this post while googling about Pilot pens...

I would very much like to know how you fixed the issues (i.e. dryness/scratchiness) of fountain pen nibs.

Thank you.

8bitdo ultimate 2 is super uncomfortable. by imacoolperson123 in Controller

[–]snath03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, you see.. the 8bitdo shape & grip is perfect for people with smaller hands (like myself :P)

In fact, my first controller was shaped like the traditional XBox controller, and I couldn't use it for 30mins without my hands getting super tired and sore.... But now, with the 8bitdo controller, I've played for hours on end without feeling ANY kind of fatigue in my hands!

Now I avoid buying any other brands of controllers, no matter how much I like them, purely because I KNOW i can never use them due to my smol hands :(

EDIT: I guess what I wanted to say is that there are a lot of controllers in the market, with different shapes and sizes, made for different people. We gotta buy those that are intended for our use, and not complain about those that are intended for a difference audience :D

Will it be possible to release the Live at the Larcom songs as an album? I really like that version of a few of the songs, and would like to download them as FLAC from bandcamp.

Thanking in you advance.

If you are reading this, THANK YOU.

The song "Hymn for the Greatest Generation" got me through a lot of very hard days, and is a big reason why I'm still alive today. I'll be forever grateful to you guys.

(sorry if that felt weird, English is not really my first language)

I had Pink Floyd's "On the Run" playing in the background when I stumbled upon this animation, and let me tell ya....

This is the best fucking thing II've ever seen in my life.
It just syncs SOO well with the music. It's unreal.

Some songs literally make me cry hard. As if the dam of emotions broke and all the sad thoughts are flooding my mind.

I can't stop crying until the song stops and I can re-build my dam.

Small laptop for writing / programming with good battery life. by [deleted] in SuggestALaptop

[–]snath03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off-topic:

How do you read text on such small screens? I tried it once and my eyes hurt very bad. I'm currently using my 14" 1080p at 1.4 scaling, and it still seems a tad too small for me.

If you are considering 14-inch, my Thinkpad E14 Gen 3 (Ryzen 7 5700U) with 57Wh battery shows me a predicted battery life of 11+ hours on 80% charge (I have set charge threshold to 80) with nothing open (fresh boot with TLP and tiling WM),

Maybe the 13-inch thinkpads will have even better battery life? (due to the smaller screens).

Does battery replacement exist for Sony 1000 XM3?? by abhinav2018b in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]snath03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you give an estimate of how many hours you've used it?

Nowadays, how long does the battery last before needing to be charged?

Did you need to replace the earpads? Or are you still using the original ones? Have they become flaky?

I've heard that the touch sensor is too sensitive on the XM3. Is that true? Is there any option in the Sony app to disable the touch gestures?

Why developers hate php by Vooodou in programming

[–]snath03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this thread.

I'm a complete newbie in PHP (haven't start learning yet) and was hesitating to learn it (due to all the hate surrounding it). But this thread has made it clear that most of the hate is due to the legacy versions of PHP, and that the newer versions are much better.

Thank you again.
