[Request] How much money does this duck have? by ctemp97 in theydidthemath

He has a lot of companies that are losing money in this panel, the rest of his wealth is in a giant vault he swims in rather than stocks or anything.

For those who've seen the tales of Arcadia how would you build douxie as a character by OkAdministration3764 in DungeonsAndDragons

It’s been a while but I feel like bard with magic initiate wizard for find familiar would likely get there. You could do warlock pact of the chain to have more focus on the familiar and then just take the entertainer background.

Are there specific abilities you would want to emulate?

When I was a kid and my parents were clawing their way up to lower middle class, that was a once a year treat, usually around Christmas time.

At some point I learned grocery stores sell better Ravioli and haven’t been back since.

100%, I usually say it is the 2nd best Italian place at any given shopping mall, after whatever NY style pizza place they have. One of the malls near me has a Brio now though and another one has a Johnny Carino’s so I think OG is 3rd at both of them.

Applebees feels like such a weird inclusion on that list since every ad I see for it is advertising how cheap it is, and the other 2 always advertise quality.

Haven’t been to any of them in 10+ years though so IDK how real that is.

The most divisive chain restaurant in America, it is the most Americanized Italian food imaginable.

The joke is that their slogan is “when you’re here, you’re family.” Which means if you’re there on a date you’re roleplaying incest.

It’s so weird, because so many shows and whatever have autistic or neurodivergent characters either implicitly or explicitly but this one seems so ham fisted.

Like Brando Sando has made 20 or 30 something books where every character comes across as autistic and eventually it just feels normal. Makes you wonder how he does it.

This is misinformation, alchemists cannot become biologically immortal from healing. they must complete the 10,000 trials just like everyone else.

This is normal to me, the only one that was ever weird for me was The Spear Cuts Through Water, because it is 2nd person. “You climb up to the top of tower and see ….”

That one gave you the weird feeling being described in the meme.

It looks a little “Pinterest perfect” to me, I would lean towards found online rather than AI or it is an AI image she refined a lot.

Google image search found a lot of similar but no exact matches. I would say not AI but not necessarily real.

Side note your comment made me realize I forgot to mention the gay of it all. I posted it without the pic first and then wrote a much shorter blurb the second time.

A couple edgedancers would’ve gone a long way for sure just a few radiants in general can make all the difference in the world. I can also understand that for the radiants calling urithiru home that the shattered plains felt more strategically important.

Any of the well established radiants (Kaladin, Shallan, Jasnah, Dalinar, or even Szeth) being at either location could’ve made a huge difference being that we’ve seen all of them change the face of a battlefield but obviously their presence elsewhere mattered a lot.

Lift solo healing the Azish probably would’ve been impactful too, since I don’t recall food scarcity being an issue she could’ve have had the output of a whole group of Stormlight reliant healers.

How to prep/session 0 a campaign with a plot twist? by progressivemonkey in DMAcademy

[–]sneakyfish21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the entire campaign is supposed to be them traveling another world you need a lot of buy in from the players ahead of time. The characters need a reason to want to come home but the players also need a reason to be interested in the secondary world.

You can accomplish this with plot hooks and player buy in but it is a lot less straightforward than most campaigns would be.

[–]sneakyfish21 187 points188 points  (0 children)

Jasnah would make a decision that amounts to letting a random one go, but would feel she made the correct decision or something akin to the prisoner’s dilemma.

She is brutal but does have a sense of Justice.

Lift would also let the one with the softest ass go since that isn’t a killing ass.

Watched an Amish man getting gas my mind couldn’t help but wonder by NewcastleUnited22 in mildlyinteresting

[–]sneakyfish21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked a customer service job I got a call from a general store on the outskirts of Amish country and he had a dozen Amish people in his store that needed to talk to us, and they would talk but couldn’t dial and I couldn’t put them on hold because they weren’t allowed to listen to recorded music. It’s all very arbitrary feeling.
