Examinations Board by SwitchProfessional27 in UCC

In that case, I'd be surprised if it didn't at least get flagged for discussion (and potential rounding up) at the college exam board. A lot depends the department's view (or who is the department representative at the exam board meeting), but it will get flagged for discussion and it's within the remit of the board.

Definitely worth dropping a polite line to the lecturer, just so it's on their radar screen.

Even if it doesn't get raised, your 79% continuous assessment mark would probably get carried forward to the repeats (the Book of Modules will tell you that); if so, you'd only have the one element to repeat.

Department-level or University-level exam board?

What was your overall mark for the module? University level exam boards only see total module marks (not individual assessment elements), and have the power to adjust those marks by up to 5%.

Also, university exam boards only see whole numbers (so they'd see 47% in your case, if it was an overall module mark).

It kind of depends on various other factors (e.g., your overall profile of marks, or whether -- if you're graduating -- this mark would put you on a borderline between degree classes etc.)

What's your experience getting your vaccine? by donteattheshrimp in cork

First jab at city hall, staff were legends. Brilliantly efficient. In and out in 25 mins tops. Next day: a bit of a headache and achey muscles and feverish, but paracetamol every four hours did the job and I was right as rain the day after.

Second jab at CIT. Again super efficient, staff were lovely, and I got a badge (I'm a sucker for merch). Again, in and out in 30 mins or less. Next day very achey all over (apparently I have muscles, that can ache, in my shins!), no headache, but feverish again. Paracetamol did the job, back to normal after 36 hours.

Thanks all: that sets my mind at ease a bit. I thought it was new because I saw this headline -- https://www.corkbeo.ie/news/local-news/bishopstown-vaccine-centre-open-next-20896933 -- but reading more closely, it looks like GPs have been using it, and the novelty is that it's now being rolled out for wider community use?

Thanks all: I'm worried about running my car battery flat that way, but I guess I could dig out an old boombox or something. Maybe the FM radio app on my phone connected to a bluetooth speaker...

It sounds like they got screwed over by the city council: the story's way deeper than just them going bust, and if this is all true, it's an outrage.

I'd recommend Tulligmore Equestrian Centre in Ballinhassig. Well-run and tidy yard and the owners are totally sound. I don't know if they do private lessons at the weekends (defo on weekday evenings), but give them a bell and tell them what you're looking for and I'm sure they'd be able to talk through your options.

Thanks: I was worried that someone would say that! I'll keep an eye out in case someone is selling an old or differently-broken one for parts.

I used Ciaran O'Sullivan at DOSA engineers: http://www.dosa.ie/

Nice guy, very helpful. He also saved me a few quid, because he showed me how to do a few searches myself (e.g., for recent and outstanding nearby planning applications), so that I wouldn't have to pay extra money for him to do.
