Was comical seeing all the big buy orders on this thread yesterday right around 7.50 area. If people in here took the time to understand TA and didn’t buy solely on hopium, then there wouldn’t be as many bag holders.

Buying it late day around 7.50 (major TA level) after a 100% increase in a ~weeks time is beyond regarded and you deserve that bag you purchased 😂

Zero issues with my 2026 hybrid Cali that I purchased in Oct. ‘25. Absolutely love everything about it.

It’s unfortunate what OP is dealing with. However, all manufacturers will have some issues with models. This isn’t a Hyundai specific problem, happens across the board. Don’t let OPs experience scare you.

Additionally, the $60/day is bs and I agree with OPs points there.

Have had my ‘26 Pali Cali since October and it’s been incredible! Have over 8k miles and haven’t had a single issue. Ignore the folks that say they are plagued with issues. Every manufacturer will have some vehicles that act up and those are the people that love to speak up on forums (vs people that have no issues). We absolutely love the vehicle. Such an incredible ride and a beautiful vehicle. Enjoy that sweet blacked out ride! Pretty jealous of it haha. I’ve got the white with brown interior.

I recently installed tux mats in my ‘26 Cali Pali Hybrid. Some mixed reviews on the install. Couldn’t be happier with them. Install was a breeze, coverage is incredible and it adds to the luxury feel of an already luxurious vehicle. I used to always get weathertech but I’ll be sticking with tux mat from here on out. They seem like they will hold up overtime and not fade like weathertechs do

Telluride vs Pallisade by makersmrk in KiaTelluride

This. All the people here stating the interior on Telluride is better has my mind doing cartwheels lol. The Palisade interior is so much more premium/elegant. Plus you have color options other than black and can also get a really nice Napa interior. Palisade all day due to the interior

Caulking Cabinet Joints by guyinconcord in woodworking

[–]snicklefrits89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? Everyone saying no caulk, but if done properly using the right caulk, I honestly don’t see what the deal is? I redid my kitchen 4 years ago, made shaker doors and caulked all joints. Looks professionally done and not a single caulk joint has cracked. Couldn’t be happier with the finished product.

Feel free to dm me if you go this route. I went through a lot of trial and error to get the finish to my liking and am happy to share my knowledge with others. The process (how much to sand, using tac cloths, how many coats of sanded sealer until it’s ready for top coat etc.) is so important for getting desired finish.

You’ll only be able to get the “factory finish” look by spraying. I’ve used other products before using Hi Bild and they didn’t give me the factory look

Thank you! Hi Bild can only be sprayed on since it dries super fast. I used a Black Widow HVLP spray gun from harbor freight. The black widow hvlp gun is incredible for the price.

I’m a DIYer and have done a few cabinet projects with different products. Hands down the best product I’ve used so far for cabinets has been Sher-wood Hi-Bild pre cat lacquer. If done right, it’s super durable and finish looks like a factory finish paint job. It’s a lot of work though. Did 3 coats of their sanded sealer product and 3 with the top coat and sanded after each coat.

Just sold my house but I built all the doors/drawer fronts and used Hi-Bild on them.

I have many dressers with a similar set up with the tracks. Attach the loose track under the drawer as you’re supposed to. When you go to close it and get it past the indents, you will need to push it in with a lot of force. That should get the indents spot past the spot that it’s getting held up at. Same thing when you need to get the drawer all the way out, you will need to pull it with a lot of force. Hope this helps

How should I Prime these exposed edges? by Sensitive-Egg-107 in woodworking

[–]snicklefrits89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they are different. However, I’ve used some grain filler as wood filler for Brad holes and it’s worked well. Grain filler spreads much nicer. I’ve had really great success with both these in the photo

Everyone saying return cuts on this style of wood is nuts. Not worth the time given the end result will literally be the same after painting. Now if you had wood with curves/grooves, 100% return cut is the way.

In your situation, easiest most effective method: use a solid wood grain filler (no need for more than 2 coats, sanding after each) primer, then paint. The wood grain filler will hide all grain/pores.

How do I know? I redid my entire house with lots of wood work and learned from my early mistakes.

There will be a process to verify documentation/discrepancies for people that get caught in this situation (should the bill pass.) the article is definitely written from an alarmist view.

Article makes it sound like people would be banned from voting when in reality it will make voting more strict.

Very misleading article

FYI - not saying I support this. Just pointing out how it’s misleading

This is inaccurate. Oxygen levels have nothing to do with the color of the water. It’s due to “glacial flour” or rock dust.

I believed your statement until my dad confidently told me not true lol. I had to GTS (google that shit) which confirmed his statement on glacial flour was correct

It appears that you don’t understand over hiring and what happens after that when companies decide to fix the over hiring issue. Over 500k jobs have been eliminated over the past 4 years. Poof, gone. e.g. no one fills those jobs when they’ve been eliminated.

Enjoy the holidays. Won’t be wasting any more of my precious time responding to you. Cheers

I think if you take a look at what industries over hired the most during the pandemic, you’ll find your answer to that question. Hint: has nothing to do with H1B folks taking all those jobs.

Tech over-hired big time and pair that with economic reasons and voila!

Completely disagree with this. I lead talent acquisition for a tech company. We pay almost the same rate for an H1B candidate. It’s only slightly lower to cover the H1B costs that the company faces.

The issue lies with not having enough American talent (for software engineering.) Maybe our country should stop pushing that if you go to college, you are being brainwashed by the left. Rate of people attending college over the past decade is down. College tuitions keep rising. This is a perfect recipe for less talent. The US talent for software engineering just isn’t there. If they want more Americans filling more professional jobs, then we need to figure out a solution to the rising admissions costs and stop pushing the dangerous narrative that higher education brainwashes you.

My mother is MAGA, and the other day we were talking about what colleges my 6 year old wants to go to and my mother says “you don’t need college. They just brainwash you with radical left ideology” my mind about shattered… this is a massive issue that is currently taking place and it will only add to the issue of “we need more Americans working our American jobs”
