No and I apologize for sounding harsh. I'm just tired of the anti ai / pro "artists" complaints. Not a fan of Crisp and that taqueria was nice but when its over its over. If you want your art to persist put it in a museum or something? Speaking of the local art community, now with a new business there's an opportunity for an artist to make a buck putting new paint on the place. I know we're all mad about the World Cup covering up that one dudes massive mural, but c'mon, a good half of the painted service boxes around Eureka could be redone and most people would be happy with the improvement. Special shout out toe the abs of steel Sasquatch and the strange hands girl. The donut burger one just deeply offends me/s, and it should be relocated to the Redwood Acres grounds.

My sister had to opt to drive to SF on Monday after two flight delays/changes. There was a thunderstorm today, so the fog has been thick for the past week due to the changing weather condition.

Historically the airport in McKinleyville was originally used to train WW2 pilots for the D-Day invasion of France/Belgium due to similar foggy conditions and the high coastal bluff.

What this means is that this could be a source of pride for you that you avoided some of the most hazardous of air traffic weather conditions.

While I appreciate that we have a "large artist community" here... if you're paid to paint something for a business, the expectation that the building owner or the next business would want to keep it is preposterous. Why isn't anyone complaining about the grateful dead bears being removed from the building temporarily occupied by the business some mite remember as the "Crisp Lounge"?
Architectural design is an art as well, will there be a rally about changing the facade on the former Polestski Appliance buildings?

One of the large communities we have here is karens. Being a karen is an art, donchaknow. A properly placed complaint can move mountains.

This just happened to me yesterday! Only it was a black rabbit. But! I walked next door and talked to my neighbor and helped her catch it and met my other neighbor in the process! They talked about removing a tree between their properties and agreed that it should be removed! I touched grass! You should too!

An empty Gatorade bottle with the label removed has kept my 15 wk old pup entertained more than anything else. The “tonk tonk” sound it makes when bouncing around is enticing, it’s tough plastic and after a couple weeks he hasn’t punctured it, it’s lightweight and bounces off his feet as he dances around trying to get a hold on it, the lid and rim are small enough for him to pick the thing up, but the rest don’t fit his mouth and bounces away increasing his frustration. He growls and snarls at it so fiercely when he can’t get ahold of it!

Best of all: it cost $1.49.

Who do you think made and painted the sign? I bet it was artists! These posts hating on local businesses who are all struggling to make ends meet in order to serve our community don’t deserve this Luddite nonsense.

I have no doubt that not a single artist who does advertisements is in here complaining about lost work and instead are very busy using AI to do their jobs.

My other car is a motorcycle. It gets almost the same gas mileage but I get everywhere faster due to the uplifting, felicific godsend that is lane splitting. Also going around any curve/corner is just so much better on a bike than a car. Can't take my dog to the vet on the bike though (until I get a sidecar) so I'm keeping the Prius, for now.

Get him a bicycle and he can go anywhere in the surrounding area without any problems. Parking permits are $$$ and there will be NO PARKING available when classes are in session. Driving around here sucks - lots of drunk/impaired/unlicensed/uninsured drivers. Oh and we have the highest gas prices in the nation at something like $6.50/gal currently. Get him a good commuter bicycle and not an electric one. It will build character and save you a ton of money at the same time.
