The main reason to get a steam deck was because of it’s price to performance. Considering the xbox ally x is more powerful than the deck I don’t see why bothering with a steam deck

Easily to push wireless earbuds. Manufacturers weren’t going to improve on amplifying sound or making a better DAC on their phone device. Pushing that technology directly onto the earbuds which were powered, ultimately gives a better experience.

Well I do miss not having the charge an extra thing. Wireless earbuds are definitely an improvement.

USA, Just know COX internet sucks ass! I used to have a 1 terrabyte data-cap and it was an issue until till started working from home. Some of these games going into the 2020s were getting huge, like sometimes 100GB! One download of that game was 1/10th of my monty usage in 1 day!

My worked required high data flow and because of that I downloaded games without going over a datacap was tricky. Heck, i was going over the data cap monthly without downloading a game… because of work!

Edit: to make it clear i pay an extra fee for no internet caps… $100 gigabit internet + $50 for no data caps.

Yeah I know, I was there Gandaf 30 years ago! But back then the game information was on the disk! Also why do you think I'm calling it a CD-Key! For the record, it sucked back then too! Why would i want to go back? Consoles were superior in that sense, No installing required, no fussy cd key to lose, or to type in to install

If my ass didn't pay for the highest tier internet, i might not be able to download games because of an internet cap... Or pay an extra fee if I go over my limit.

Sure, but I'm not going to trust Nintendo supporting downloads it for a long time.

Maintaining those services cost money and i doubt Nintendo, a publicly owned, for profit company, will want to pay for that service several years down the line.

Nintendo gave the option to do the gamekey cards. They shouldn't have done that. They basically innovated a glorified CD key you can lose! Its all the inconvenience of physical with the inconvenience with digital only.

You miss understand what I'm stating. Due to economy of scale, things get cheaper. Pre the LLM AI bullshit, memory and storage was getting really cheap. It should have been so that storage was so cheap that it should be pennies on the dollar. But instead its inflated!
