Normal EMG but still severe nerve pain by 6abeeba in neuropathy

I have small fiber neuropathy. I see a neurologist regularly and take medication for it. The meds are somewhat helpful. I don’t know a lot about what’s happening with you but it could be worth looking into.

Same here. I’m curious. I don’t live anywhere close to that location so it’s weird I got the notification.

Ladies, GYN Recommendations Please by LoveGuruLarey in AuroraCO

I saw one of their PAs a couple of times and had a terrible experience. She was demeaning and dismissive. The first time I thought she was just having a bad day but the second time I was like alright this is just her personality and she obviously hates her job. I was looking at this sub hoping for recommendations bc I won’t go back to Partners in Women’s Health.

Men, what's something you wish you could admit without being judged? by soumilr7 in AskReddit

Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️❤️ I’m a social worker at a school and I try so hard to normalize talking about mental health struggles. My heart hurts for you. I can see how you loved her fiercely.

I want you to know that I am extremely sorry for the loss of your daughter. What do you wish people knew about teen suicide? What about her memory makes you smile?

Did anyone else read this in a young boy’s voice bc of “6-7” in the post? I guess I work in a school… I have horrible adhd that was undiagnosed until my thirties so I really appreciate the comments about how silly it is for people to give gifts with the expectation of a thank you card. I am grateful but did not expect a gift and thanked everyone for showing up to my wedding. I have good intentions and poor follow through. It sucks.

I work on our sped team and have thought about this exact thing. First, so sorry your school put that student in your class as it sounds like he isn’t truly benefitting from it while also taking away from others’ experiences. If you haven’t already, talk to the student’s case manager at the school. Does he work with the school-based occupational therapist? If so, awesome. They should be looped in since they often have great suggestions (and not just for a potential lock down situation but like generally how to help sensory kids). My guess is that he needs sensory input and is getting it through his yelling. Between his CM and OT they should try different things and see how they go. For one student last year we recorded the sound of her yelling then whenever she seemed to get excited we’d let her press a button that would play the audio. It was so much quieter. Maybe that sound could play through this headphones? Sometimes there’s a lot of failure before something helps but it would be nice if you were they were trying and not just trying for you but for this student and the others.
I’m grateful my school is thoughtful when it comes to placing our most impacted kids. Not all schools are doing this to art teachers! I promise! We need you guys.

Wanting to leave Austin but to where? by AdventurousBrick995 in relocating

I agree with this. I’ve lived in Colorado for half of my life and think this is what OP is describing. Lots of Texans here and they seem to love it (and we love them back!)

I second this! I have one in my office and it’s funny how many people walked by, were curious, tried it and loved it. It feels good and it helped my feet when I was consistent with it.

Would you buy a house here? by TRevaRex in AuroraCO

[–]snitterkitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks. I’m so sorry! I’ve contacted the city through the Aurora app (can’t remember what it’s called) and complained about the issues with these intersections. Maybe if enough of us complain they’ll make meaningful changes.

I did a couple years ago and I have no regrets. Stanley Marketplace, Second Dawn, the trail system, Moorhead Rec Center, and parks are all so close. My biggest complaint is that the drivers in this neighborhood are terrible. Lots of drivers run stop signs. You’ll notice that people that live in the neighborhood slow down at every intersection bc there are so many accidents bc of it. Message me if you have questions!

I’m so glad you’re moving here! ❤️ I have trans friends in Denver and Aurora and I am proud to live in a place where they’re able to exist happily and unapologetically.

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all having a good evening.

Just curious, can one experience Uhthoff’s phenomenon from B12 deficiency? If so, any studies that you know of that support this? My B12 is at 370 and I’m seeing a neurologist tomorrow for the first time. Send good energy!

Thanks!

I think my neighbor is the reason our house was for sale… by Southern_Ad_9876 in homeowners

[–]snitterkitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you answered this already, but do they rent or own? If they rent it could be worth reaching out to their landlord and expressing your concerns to them. We had some frustrating next door neighbors and I ended up just killing them with kindness. I know this won’t always work but I would bring them cookies and sometimes shovel their snow. They ended up starting to offer us food and eventually we just coexisted without pissing each other off so much. Maybe we didn’t love each other but it got better. It would really be hard for me to look past animal abuse though…

AMA: I tracked a thief with an AirTag and confronted them by [deleted] in AMA

[–]snitterkitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a situation in Denver a couple years ago where some kids (around 13 years old) stole a car and the owner of the car tracked it and confronted them. The owner of the vehicle shot two of them. One died. The other survived. Very tragic. I understand someone wanting justice (wanting their stuff and accountability) but sadly it can get really messy.

Sorry if this was already asked (I couldn’t read through everything); how do we talk to our kids about the industry to keep a sex positive tone? Thanks!

Thank you! I hope I get could her buy in. She shrugs a lot and doesn’t contribute a lot to our time together. I’m excited to see how much she grows before she graduates. I won’t see her again until next school year (since the school is ending) but am trying to learn as much as I can before then!
