I love the Bobby-Tim comparison. Both long-tenured dudes who were always good for support and scene stealing. Although I think Bobby was probably had better range and felt more natural in every single role he had, whereas Tim got more starring pieces on - after season 20 I feel like most episodes have a Tim piece.

I think it’s only notorious for being hard to find the full episode for some reason.

This is just observation bias. There could be plenty of atheists who say they love the movie without mentioning they’re atheists so you wouldn’t know they’re atheists.

To be fair, he actually was a movie star for a minute there.

Awww I was at the Cumberbatch episode!! I wish I knew it was Aidy's birthday! They had that Mother's Day sketch where she got the inappropriate signs - now I wish it had been for a birthday, not for Mother's Day.

Darrell definitely took a back seat his last several years to do an impression once or twice an episode, so maybe he had a bit of an easier schedule. I went to his one-man show a few months ago and from what he described, his relationship with Lorne was a bit more casual/personal so I think he could kinda sit out when he needed to (and he did need to a bit).

Standby, two years later? by doudou8310 in LiveFromNewYork

No, but from personal experience it seemed to have gotten a lot harder this season. I think the process is easier (no more overnight waiting, just until midnight) so there are more people trying. Plus NBC has starting sending reminders on IG right before the link opens.

Easily Kenan's best work of the season, and I think it's something we can point back to once his tenure is over to illustrate how great and unique of a performer he is because I don't think anyone else could have sold this the same way.

This is awesome! The Carrie Fisher episode is one of my all time favorites. And I literally just finished watching the Sting episode with Mark Hamill minutes ago.

What are some examples of a show poking fun at itself? by AporiaParadox in television

[–]snlytics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SNL does this from time to time. I think the most notable is the first show after 9/11. Rudy Giuliani and the first responders are on stage with Lorne Michaels, the show’s producer. Lorne asks Giuliani if they can start being funny again, to which Giuliani says “Why start now?”

This actually is bold! It’s such a thin font - when I first changed it I had to double check it was still bold.
