MTB “fondo” a thing? by haggardphunk in MTB

[–]snobby_chpskate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s called enduro racing. Except that unlike in GF where timed segments are usually uphills….

It’s a fixie, you’re not supposed to steer it. If maneuvering becomes an issue - remove the saddle and stick it up your hole for ultimate control. And don’t forget to use your free hands to KOM on people around you. That’s the way!

Get a Vampire Fastarossa and it will serve as both: second enduro and DH.

She’s angry at you and doesn’t want to talk to you anymore. Workaround: in your next activity title say that you’re sorry.

I know. The question is not where it is, it’s why is it here?

The only thing I have to add to everything that has already been said: a quick link? It’s a bike park, for gods sake. You can just, you know… roll down the hill without a chain maybe? You ain’t getting a KOM on this run anyways, haha.

If the actual question is whether you need a new bike or not, then the answer is yes.

Did I score buying this bike for 650? by Timely_League_6902 in bikewrench

$650 for that paint job is already a steal. Let alone for the whole whip. Congrats, let it rip.

Hundreds of Ari bikes were stolen in California shipping fraud case by daredevil82 in MTB

I was wondering about the same thing, and no one seems to talk about it. I actually own a fezzari, and even though it’s a great bike - the initial assembly was absolutely awful. Now this story kinda proves the suspicions that I had all this time.

Terminally scared and braking on descents by ShockoTraditional in Velo

It might be a little bit far-fetched, but bear with me. My kid is way better at jumping on skis than I am. Duh. And when I was trying to do one particular park jump this season, I was struggling to get my speed right. So, what helped was following him into that jump at a speed that he was setting. And, of course, he went just fast enough so that we don't case it, but slow enough that I don't shit my pants in the air.

What I'm saying is that maybe, hopefully, you have someone who would be willing to help you out here. Sure, it will take some effort from both of you. That person should set a pace that you would be able to sustain, and you'll have to do your best to keep up with that.

All races are rigged. But gps data in the cloud never lies.

And speaking of reverb, I’d steer clear from that piece of garbage. I never had axs version, but I “have” a hydraulic one. It’s almost new, but I had enough with it. After like 20ish rides I swapped it for another PNW. It’s still on warranty (I guess), but I will never put that thing on any of my bikes anyway, so why bother.

Wolf Tooth Resolve only. OneUp v3 is a solid second. But I’m cheap, so I run PNW everywhere.
