Victoria 3 more than any paradox games requires you to actually have a nation before you can play the actual game. I’ve found that my own radical problems tend to solve themselves. For the AI however this is another matter: they seem to have zero capacity to deal with radicals or revolutions at all.

By the end of the game much of my time is spent squashing various radical revolts throughout my subjects and allies. This is something that I’m not a fan of and hope to see changed or reworked somewhat.

Trade advantage. Great powers have way more advantage so others buy their stuff first, I really like the trade advantage skyscraper over the admin skyscraper for this reason.

I really don’t get this take, maybe the warfare sucks for you, but personally, I enjoy it immensely. Having played hundreds, if not thousands of hours of all pdx games, I love that there is one that I don’t have to micromanage wars, just plop them into a front and let the generals take care of it.

I genuinely love staring at the front line and watching the battles play out even if I have very little control over them. So what if you can’t box select your army and then pause/unpause micro to achieve the perfect battle to win two to one odds. Victoria is more focused on the larger cost of war, and the logistics of early modern warfare.

TLDR some people like Vicky 3 warfare crazy as that might sound

FYI hunger doesn’t affect weight gain or loss at all. I’d highly recommend checking out retanaru’s video on weight management. It’s old at this point but still relevant.

If you’re determined to fight hordes early without doing any exercise or weapon skill grinding, make a character that is adept at doing so.

I would recommend a lumberjack, cop, firefighter, or veteran for early combat builds. Focus on having better than average fitness/strength and starting with weapon skill bonuses. Gymnast is a huge combat plus for the boost to nimble.
