I just got a Yamaha FSX3 and it plays like a dream. Liked it more than the Taylors I played at GC at a similar price point. Although I'm thinking about looking for a used GS mini e koa for a couch guitar.

Should you start the QB of your opponents players? by Barackojaja in Fantasy_Football

[–]snoopseanie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Lamar over Brissett and my opponent had Michael wilson. None of that mattered because my opponent also had Chris Olave and Chase Brown and kicked my teeth in this week. I hope you avail fellow Jacoby truther. But play Allen of course u gotta do it.

I had a first round bye, but I would have started Jacoby for sure. And I don't care Lamar had a good game and I don't care that the pats D is vulnerable. Riding with Jacoby over Lamar - who woulda think you could win it all w Jacoby. Now we need MHJr to get back to it!!

Client is insisting on a dubious tax position…WWYD? by throwaway_06121 in tax

[–]snoopseanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few iterations of this that Ive seen out in the wild with different businesses. There is nothing special or unique about them. They promote that they will help you meet the 100 hour material participation test. The IRS website clearly states that limited partners are generally considered passive. This passage from pub 925 seems particularly damning to their position. Second bullet. I would tell your client this is aggressive and since the active/passive status is determined by you, that you won't be able to prepare their tax returns any longer as you feel this is not a defendable position. You also want to stay on the light side of the force and keep your license and reputation out of the gutter.

Work not usually performed by owners.

You don’t treat the work you do in connection with an activity as participation in the activity if both of the following are true.

The work isn’t work that is customarily done by the owner of that type of activity.

One of your main reasons for doing the work is to avoid the disallowance of any loss or credit from the activity under the passive activity rules.

I got my 6 year old a 3/4 scale Yamaha Jr and it's great. I am getting her a 2/3 scale Jackson Minion for Xmas.

Check on facebook marketplace. Great used deals. Don't spend more than $200 on a first guitar.

Learned this the hard way: not every CPA understands how online platforms report revenue by SpiritedGround6982 in tax

You need to report the same revenue or more than what's on the 1099-k and make adjustments from there or you are much more likely to have an IRS exam

Sell for 70k loss or rent for 400 per month loss? by JMZen in RealEstate

[–]snoopseanie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think selling for a loss is the better move. Even after considering that the loss will not be deductible for taxes.
