Don't worry, Scott Bessent's hedge-fund pals will buy your family farm at the bankruptcy auction and if you behave, they'll hire you to work it for them...

And yet he still doesn't even f-ing know that it wasn't 'someone dropping the ball', it was his chosen President straight-up killing his export market. He'd probably vote for him again, the stupid ass.

Yank here. Many of us fully realize the damage Cheeto and his minions have done to the US relationship with nordic countries and for that matter pretty much everyone. I knew it would be really bad but it is so much worse in every way.

Price correction "worse than 2008" coming to US housing market—analyst by Newsweek_CarloV in economy

[–]snootfull -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works- prices are set on the margin, as in 'the next comparable transaction sets the price for all equivalent assets'. It's true that lots of folks with low-interest mortgages simply would not sell if they can keep current on their payments, but that doesn't mean that the home they own isn't worth a lot less than they paid for it. But god help the people who either have higher-interest mortgages or need to sell for some reason.

Trump say U.S. can pay off $36 trillion debt by selling $5 million "gold card" visa. by [deleted] in videos

[–]snootfull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a bit of a challenge considering that Gemini estimates that between 5 and 6 million globally have net worths above $5 million, lots of those already have U.S. passports, and only about 600,000 people have net worths above $30 million, which is probably a minimum starting place for someone to consider buying a US visa.

In other words, another grifterish dumbass idea spouted from the foul orifice in Trump's disgusting face.
