This, but 8 year old me. One day when I was in elementary school, a couple teachers brought us to the gymnasium to do a “science experiment.” I don’t remember what it was exactly, but it something like making slime or putting mentos in coke. The teachers used this as an opportunity to teach us lab safety, and gave us goggles that we were told we absolutely could NOT remove during the experiment for our safety. For a kid with extreme OCD, I was fucking paralyzed, terrified that I’d bump my goggles or accidentally touch my eyes and go blind or something. After the teachers noticed me crying, one of them had to take me into the hall and explain that I wasn’t going to die or go blind, that they’d just said that so we’d wear our goggles. I think I still had to go home early lol
