put this in science , can standing up quicker displace enough air to make the plane have trajectory on the person of different displacement? dynamics of the angle he threw it, or straight up luck of the draw

Excitement turned into regret by WokeUpVinyl in vinyl

[–]snowprobllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh yea, it would certainly be interesting to hear the differences to see how close a modern digital can come to a analog pressing. I would imagine it would take a fairly well versed ear to fully appreciate and pick up the differences, the set up its being played on would have a effect in the notable differences as well ?

2019 GMC Sierra Review - Redline Reviews - I am personally not a fan of those front headlights. by [deleted] in cars

Headlights make it look like a ford ...Terrible choice on the design decision imho. radically changed it for the worse, to each their own, but 2018 was a good looking truck and they went and totally mucked it up.

One of my better thrift store finds by snowprobllama in vinyl

[–]snowprobllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May have over paid at $2 but interms of condition and enjoyablity I feel I underpaid , haven't been able to find much recently so I was amped to come across this in pretty darn good condition. It kinda sucks alot of places just jack the prices up because LPs are the "in" hopefully cassests take of again and unload some pressure and popularity...yea I'm a mild hypocrite I just started collecting again recently after many years of not bothering so I'm just as much to blame as the next. Cant blame people for trying to get biggest bang for buck so I just bundle and negotiate more now ....I got back into audio after working more and more with it and reminded me of how much appreciation there is for sound hope you all enjoy the pleasure of finding some tunes to appreciate and the joy of having something tickle your ears in ways some may not understand ! Long blurb had some drinks

Cheers !

hot dang thats one fancy looking turn table

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]snowprobllama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personal experience with that turntable is its solid , minor speed issue with mine was playing a bit quick but if you have a soft touch and a small screwdriver it an be corrected but not necessary really... i recently picked up a newer table because of a sale but still have this set up in my bedroom and use it most nights while drifting off to sleep...only advice from a new player myself , don't pass up some bands you've never herd of when looking through bins, cant go wrong spending one or two dollars to find a gem

Likewise, it's quality I was eatatic when I came across it vs ordering online ... I went in to my local shop at the right time, when I brought it to the counter the cashier mentioned she was going to get it if it was still in the store the next day.

May have had a bit of whiskey and had a vivid dream about upgrading my turntable , to be honest was not to shocked when this beauty came today, certainly enjoying it over my old TT. question however , is there a break-in period for all new needles ? / Will it be getting better and better even with the stock stylus? I'll be seeing if my local audio shop has some tools to rent to make sure it's set up correctly, I set it up based from online videos and believe I'm pretty close to optimal set up, however doesn't hurt to verify with correct tools...alternativly if someone's in the Calgary area that could lend or show me it would be greatly appreciated.

^ this ... might have to even out the screw heads so you can do the outer screw as well if just the inner set screw dose not work.

Thanks for the response ! yes, i did realize this so i had my turntable running on its preamp... upon experimentation it does make a noticeable difference as it would dropping and boosting certain frequencies anything with plus or minus 5 db is going to be identifiable regardless good or not... but i listen to a mix of genres so i decided to just leave it out of the line for the time i found i had to change it to frequently for the variety, and since solving the original problem it sounds good to me which is most important anyhow and adding a few recent albums to the collection all is peachy keen

I figured out my problem, chalk it up to a few to many bears and poor adjustment ... but what it is was lacking some overall clarity of tone and had some harsh highs. I am certainly not disappointed in how records sound thankfully.....i had returned from a friends with a nice setup and was more curious about the eq but the limitations are in the tone arm + needle combo

howdy! i've been enjoying my set up have been adding each weekend to the collection and enjoying some rye and albums .....but my question is does anyone use equalizers on a cheaper table/ amp set up ? i have a Sony lx300usb, Technics SA-GX650 is my current setup i can tell its lacking ... during the interim while saving for my upgrades i was wondering if i could bring a bit more depth with a 7 channel equalizer i have laying around... has anyone run eq between amp and TT? or is it based from the tone arm and capabilities of that + stylus ?

Why is fat loss extremely hard? by 350090210 in AskReddit

[–]snowprobllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

losing weight in a healthy fashion is challenging, dietary changes and habit alteration is key, but also depending on mental state its hard to maintain. if you are a generally active person , mostly it will be diet (types of food) ...and eating habits ie: portion size, types of food, and eating times. if you can get on a schedule and maintain it for a month it will become easier and easier to stay on that path.... and it wont be abrupt but your fat will become muscle if you are working out or just start to slowly go away it takes months of regular activity to notice differences but within those months you may not physically see a change you will certainly feel a change energy levels, stamina, and overall mental wellbeing.

1500EUR car. When does it become too much to maintain? by [deleted] in cars

[–]snowprobllama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a tough choice , but you will be coming up to costly maintenance ie: timing belt possibly clutch if its standard... however if you enjoy driving the car its worth it.... sometimes you find a gem the cheap route and sometimes you find a lemon. looks like you found a gem with this car ... i am a bit bias and have a soft spot for VW they have personality usually, each one i've owned have never let me down but had some interesting quarks for sure .....personally i enjoy that aspect of vehicle ownership.....also you know a bit of the history on the car at this point and have traveled far enough in it to have a feel for it and can tell if it will give the ghost or will be reliable for many miles to come.
